Hell to the no! PC Gaming is the past, the present, and the future. Not to mention awesome.
End of.

PC's are the best for FPS and RTS and that's a lot of the gaming population.

Never has, never will.
Simply because you can't program or develop a game on a console.
And those tweaked to do so/similar tasks(Other OS, supplementary hardware, etc.) are more PC-like than anything else.
And programmers will always make games for the system they work with.

Well, I wouldn't say that it reigns supreme, personally I prefer console, but it defiantly is not dying. The PC, while not getting as many mainstream stuff, it still a good gaming platform.

No of course not, and how dare anyone claim that it is. Only console gamers believe PC is dying because most people are console gamers these days. The PC is the best and most future proof gaming machine ever, and it would be so much easier for everyone if it was the only gaming machine, too. It is far superior in EVERY way. Developers would be stupid to ignore it. Plus, PCs get the most intuitive games. XBLA may think they're smart and cool with indie games, but that doesn't hold a candle to the amount of games readily available on the internet for free or a small fee.

'So the next time someone says to you, ?What can we do about the decline of the PC as a gaming platform?? or when you next year a publisher say, ?The PC just isn?t a viable format for us any more,? do free free to print out this story and use it to papercut their nuts.'

Why is it that there are never any proper answers in the questions of the day.
It is not dead.But it does not reign supreme.All gaming is equal.

This question is akin to asking 'Is Nintendo dead?' when the Gamecube's sales were a bit behind the PS2 and XBox >.>;

If you're answering this poll, you have a PC. Chances are good you have a game on it somewhere. Ergo, PC gaming lives.

The PC has always been the pure platform for games and will continue to be so for a long time.

It will die if all the big releases are just Console clones designed for consoles and not PC's. PC's have one thing consoles don't: RAM. Lots and lots of it. With ram we can have endless variety in our games, instead of copy/paste scenery. If we have big, diverse games on the pc then people might just start coming back from console land.

Fail question.
the PC is, and will always be my main gaming platform; there is a wide vareity of games, you have everything in one place (games, music, internet(guides), teamspeak, etc.), we have mods, and last but not least: we have Steam! :D

I think in a few years, pc gaming might be dead/dying, but at the moment it's not. I think it's a little weaker than it was, but as consoles evolve and become more similar to pcs (although I don't think they'll turn into pcs in all but name), they'll destroy pc gaming.
