It has to be google, they are the Shinra *Final Fantasy 7 reference* of Earth. Plus it only makes sense, if they own the internet, they own the world, than Newfoundland Labrador.

But if you ask me, hardly those will take over anything. Those companies have names and brands being known but they are still small what comes to taking over the world. No doubt that internet is powerfull what comes to knowledge but its not equal to the world
I still get most of my knowledge from books.
I tried to find list of the biggest companies and found something. Wikipedia had also some list but it was out ated in my opinion (year 2007 updated company revenues).

So google is growing but how much the internet will grow is the guestion. I think there are limits. We still need to live outside the internet (well nobody stops google to expand to sell me my morning coffee ).

Google are branching out far more, and already have the ability to direct peoples opinions, the infrastructure to track them, and the ability to profit from this through advertisement. And less people seem to care than for microsoft, apple, or anyone else.
This is, ofcourse, if they can knock over News Corp, who already own the world.

It's probably Google, god forbid they every buy or merge with Facebook. If that happened a timeline of the life of most people will be easy to Google search.
What about Bungie? They have a 7 step plan in place for world domination... Steps 1-5 of which are definitely complete, and step 6 may also be. However, step 6 is 'Stage bloody coup of new parent company'. If they wish to restage that step at Activision (I know, not actually a parent company, but whatever), I wouldn't complain. I'd be far too busy welcoming our new overlords.
