Remember Neopets?

I still play neopets. I have a zaffara (curently Island/Christmas) a kougra (Faery), an accara (Island)and a nimmo (Halloween)the most awsome thing is I got all their colors through random events. I still love neopets it's great for casual gaming.

I do not like neopets and I regret the time I spent with it.

I do not like the management, the direction, or the design which the site currently has, and has for some time.

As far as the account deletion, it's always been a practice for neopets to remove longtime users, so im not surprised to hear about such things.

I myself am permabanned, apparently. If it ever becomes known to admin who i am, my account is immediately removed. I pissed Adam off gooooood, it seems.

Yeah, I remember sitting on ICQ and mIRC playing Neopets, I had a Flotsam and a Jetsam. My (ex) girlfriend used to sit and play it for hours after finishing highschool.

Ahhhh, I remember that game... back in the day, hahaha. I had some kind of dragon thing, and I was starting to build a pretty slick house. Then I discovered Quake 2, and I forgot the password/username. It was fun, I liked bumper cars and chia bombers the best.

Ah, NeoPets, how I once loved thee. All the time spent playing games and being decent enough at them to keep one or two pets happy... Then I fell out of it and returned years later to find not only more games, but the fact that I now completely suck at them. Is it because they changed the game's speed and overall difficulty? *shrugs* Maybe, but the overall quality has declined there as well. The maps are also crammed with so many things that I just don't know what and where anything is any more. That was the last time I bothered to look, at least. The latest attempt to do anything lasted less than a week before the nostalgia was gone.

my account seems to have survived (due to a recent nostalgia moment)
to start they added a store kinda like the mann co store in TF2(that should make the haters hate), their add-choice makes even less sense(40+dating adds? wtf? ), the site seems to have loads of buggy pages and to top it off they recently added a game for witch you need to pay to play it. it seems to go downhill i wonder when they'll pull the plug.

Omg, my neopets account still exists! It's pretty durn sweet, if I do say so myself. I've got a Usuki Usul (Male, so he's like a little Musketeer) a Royal Peophin (those are totally my favorite), a Disco Koi (that took FOREVAH!) and a Halloween Ixi (my second favorite, I remember when they debuted). My username is ReisHeavenlyKnight, if anyone is interested in looking me up. Dear God, Neopets used to be my homepage when I was in Junior High. I legit spent hours there, and my oldest and dearest internet friend was met via that website. I'm sure lots has changed since I was last on, which I think was in 2007 or 2008. I had a college room mate who was into it, and I felt safe enough exploring it again in that environment. Oh... neopets....

I almost want to curse the OP for reminding me. As if I didn't have enough modern internet distractions...

I've gotta feed mah pets now.

I used to be obsessed with neopets though. it might be for the best that I can't access my account anymore.

I recently tried finding my neopets account again. Managed to remember my old screen name, but the password is beyond me, and linked to a parent's old email account that hasn't been used in years. So I sit there staring at my starving yellow Shoyru. Poor thing.

Now, I'm not sure about the rest of Escapist, but Neopets pretty much introduced me to the internet. It was the first site I visited daily and enjoyed exploring. I think I must have been about nine or ten. Thinking back, I can only remember good things about that site.

My Eldest sister actually brought me to neopets...and it was hella fun back in the day.

I think most of us will agree that nowadays, the site has really gone to the dogs. Mostly because they actually started to try and milk a profit from it. I can understand wanting to make some money for your work, and I guess the dickloads of ads everywhere just weren't doing it. Fair enough. Even though it's fair, it doesn't mean we have to like it.

A while ago they did a massive rollback, deleting any accounts that hadn't been used in the past year. My first account was one of the many deleted, as I lost my password for it ages ago. The site just feels so empty now. Like, you can really feel the lack of people. Or is that just me?

I never really had much friends on neopets too.

Anyways, I've still got my latest account. Mainly because I'm OCD about the plushies. If there's one thing I still like, it's being able to collect certain items, and I just adore the plushies. I want them all, as ridiculous as it is.

I actually got myself some of the Neopet Plushies..here lemme actually dig them up and see what I got. *Inb4 Yakkety Saxx through all my belongings*

Yellow: Lupe, Alicorn, and Spiny back dinosaur Neopet
Blue: Tiger, Lupe, Flotsam, Penguin
Red: Aisha (The one with two antenne out of its head and isn't flopping over)

And I actually a hard plastic Ixi toy that made noise.

Aha, Altador Cup, eh? How's eleventh place? Ah, I jest. I joined the Altador Cup late, and ended up choosing Virtupets because I liked their colour scheme. I played one game, I think, and scored one point.

SAME. I spent all the years of my childhood between age 10 and age 13 obsessively collecting items and playing games and trading on Neopets. On my first account, I managed to get rare paintbrushes for all my pets and I wrote fanfictions about them. (lol)

It does make me kind of sad that older accounts are being deleted, I always liked going back on that site and looking at my pets and remembering how awesome that site was back in the day

My old account was adnamatcl (hahahah) its probably long gone.

You are kind of making me want to make a new account, however!!
