Didn't you people learn from Fable 2? Really though, how can a magical kingdom really advance in 200 years? Come now, can 2009 really be that different from 1809?
did u know you have exactly 2000 postes.SirBryghtside said:Sounds awesome
But I wouldn't really like to see guns, it may ruin the fantasy aspect.
What I really want to know is where it will be set.And fix'd.nilcypher said:VvardenfellTamriel with renaissance level technology, maybe even hunting Cliff Racers (to extinction) with a musket? That sounds pretty cool to me!
Yeah, but 1800-present day was basically a really sudden jump ahead in world technology, Dark Ages were called Dark for a reason, a two-century gap during the Dark Ages would most likely have seen little to no improvement in technology.HK_01 said:Not a lot you can do in 200 years? Look at where we were 200 years ago.Sevre90210 said:I'm expecting some Steampunk, but being realistic, there's not a lot you can do in 200 years. Maybe nicer gear, that's it.
OT: Meh, doesn't sound good. I didn't like the modern stuff in Fable II and I'm not going to like it here. Seriously, it would take the entire charm of the fantastic world with elves andn demons(and unicorns) they have created. Why would I fear a any of the creatures in the world if I have guns(if they advance the weapons like it happened in Fable II)?
the industrial revolution was only about 250 years agoSevre90210 said:I'm expecting some Steampunk, but being realistic, there's not a lot you can do in 200 years. Maybe nicer gear, that's it.
The book that the blurb is about takes place 45 years after Oblivion.mayney93 said:i dont understand it, it says 45 years then 200 years? does it mean oblivion was set 45 years after the crisis and the next one 200 years after that?
Expect a 2011 release, and a PC upgrade too.Assassinator said:As long as I can have those classical gothic cities, I'm happy. Gah, I get excited about this the more we talk about it. Anything from the weapons to the clothes to the architecture, gah I want it now!Sevre90210 said:Well I'm sure if the Fallout engine is anything to go by, we'll be seeing raids on those pretty little villages of yours and I'm sure that a few cities have been upgraded to the classical gothic architecture but I guarantee that Imperial City is decimated.
2011? Hah, 2012+ I'd say, plus I'll go for the console version most probably because I won't buy a new PC for quite a few years. I really enjoyed Oblivion on my 360, and I never really bother with mods anyway so I'll be fine.Sevre90210 said:Expect a 2011 release, and a PC upgrade too.
Wow , that's a new version of "low".lycanthrope321 said:Also, All Hail MaxtheReaper!
It might be able too, but it will look ugly on low settings. On top of that the map is much smaller, it isn't as engaging or imersive, and levitation doesn't exist. Guess what? That was all to accommodate the awesome graphics that you won't be able to enjoy.seventy7l said:Never played oblivion but i will look into the new elder scrolls game.I wonder if i should get GOTY edition for that $20.Well it's elder scrolls and i'm still having fun in morrowind so why not try it?It looks pretty good just hope this rustbucket i'm using as a pc will even handle it.
so the blurby bit on the back of the box on oblivion was wrote 50 years after the events of oblivion?CUnk said:Maybe there will be some magical holocaust that ravages Tamriel and you have to explore the wasteland hunting mutated mud crabs and giant flame-throwing cliff racers.
