It didn't work for Sonic Rush, it's not going to work here.

I had a nostalgic nerdgasm on the "SE-GAA" opening. Then I remembered Sonic Rush. Gameplay was almost classic sonic, but the story was dumb. So now I don't know. I kinda expect the Sonic Team to kick me in the balls again. But I can't help hoping that this time will be different.

I hope this doesn't pull a 'duke nukem forever' and never be released, but then again i couldn't really care less. I gave up on sonic a long time ago. They should revive Alex Kidd.

Is it just me, or is there something weird about games' graphics that have 2D control with 3D graphics? Particularly remakes. Like Bionic Commando on XBLA, and now Sonic 4e1, they seem kind of.. cheap, or maybe "gamey", I don't know how else to describe it.

Shadow in 2D would be nice too.

Looks like them semi-3D 2D games, i have high hopes for this... granted i'm not a sonic fan and havn't been screwed by sega for the last 10 years or so

Probably making it episodic so if they completely blow it somewhere in the first one, they can tweak the next parts on.

as someone who played the original 2D games on the original Genesis, I can say THANK GOD! with the possible exception of Sonic adventure 2 Battle all these 3D sonic titles have been utter shit

it ALWAYS looks good at 1st..but then..when released..may tears fall..

oh and am i the only one who rolled eyes when seeing the sonics art (unchanged) and the years 1991-1992-1994-THEN-2010?

like..woah, what happened between 1994-2010?
it's almost like the team KNOWS they did shitty games after 1994 and are trying to forget they ever happened(that begs the question..why do them at all)

Im glad about this.

Sonic was part of my childhood.

I know most people dont want side kicks....But i do hope Tails and Knuckles are in it.

I take it this is coming out for DS or something?

The graphics are 3D, the game play is 2D.

Like Super Smash Bros.
