Considering I came to know of it via first-hand experience, I'm going to be a not hypocrite and say yeah, as long as you can trust them.

And you know what? I've sent stuff to girls I DEFINITELY should not have trusted, but nothing's gone viral yet and I got entertainment. What ever works.

Pictures of my privates though? Why? The only person I would send them to sees the real thing regularly, so it's pointless. If his memory of them fades so fast he'll need a random photo update them, then something's wrong there...

So two consenting individuals want to share naked photos of eachother? So what? Let them, it's not like any actual harm can come of it. I don't even think it's that big a deal if they aren't of legal age to do so (to an extent).

The only thing that matters is if you trust the person you are sending it to. And perhaps being a little discreet about it too. But even then, worst case scenario some people might see you naked... And? Like they've never seen or will see a naked body in their lives! And if you've got one worth looking at then good for you, having a great body is worth way more positive points than having points subtracted because someone else saw it.

You gonna tell Michelangelo that painting all those naked people is a sin against the laws of decency? No I didn't think so. And if institutions like the church want to condem the practise, perhaps they should lead the way by you know, taking down all the pictures of naked men, women and children they keep lying around... Fucking hypocrites!

Personally I think the act a bit stupid... but people like porn and easily accessible porn of your significant other is even better. Currently the device to obtain, deliver, and store it from on the go is the cell phone... so... eh

As for prosecuting charges against it, I call bullshit on much of it. If an adult is exploiting a minor or some variation thereof, send them to prison for as long as possible. But I've a friend who's a registered sex offender because she sent her boyfriend a picture of her tits while a cop had him pulled over while she was under age and so was he. Ruining a number of potential prospects of a kids life for having sexual desires when flooded with hormones is incredibly over the top and unnecessary.

Eh. It's a fun little time pass, now and again, when there's distance or if one of your friends' old friends is in town, and they're both a little buzzed and horny, and you get a "I'll show you mine if you show me yours" game going with them. Those are fun. But the passing back and forth of erotic texts is nothing more than guided masturbation, at best. Which isn't to say that it's not fun in itself, but usually it just leaves you horny, waiting for what you can get.

I'd feel awkward texting dirty things to my girlfriend... Same goes for phone sex or "dirty talk". It feels so staged and fake.

Pictures might be different, but I've never texted a picture. I assume they cost a ton to send and receive, and besides, what if someone else finds it..? I don't have naked pictures of myself anywhere, and I'd rather not put them on a device people carry around in their pockets if I took any.

You know, this thread and everything else involved with sexting is stupid and offensive, This is clearly an intimate act between two people, and nobody but them has any right to comment or have an opinion on it. God damn it, I mean If I want to send my GF pictures of my Wang or vice versa then Im pretty sure unless you are my wang or my GF then its none of your goddamn business.

And yes, once its out there its out there forever, but frankly if Im the kind of person who is prepared to photograph and text my doodle-sausage then Im probably not going to have a heart attack when it goes viral on the internet. unless the sexter is a moron, in which case fuck them.

Since my mobile can not send or receive photos ( aka my phone provider SUCKS BALLS!) I could not do it even if I wanted to.
I find it a bit weird but to each their own. also many people I know who do send erotic messages and pictures are all of age. so there is no real concern about being a paedophile.
