Seriously, that was so terrible and pathetic that it was hysterical. I mean, way to fucking look into something that isn't there. Man some of those examples (like the matrix one) was some fine comedy and gross misinterpretation of the material.

God I loved the part where they are defending the evil rich dude and being all "why is being a business man/ rish person equate to evil?" That shit has been a common trope in all forms of media since the fucking Renaissance!! Evil rich boogy man isn't some fucking Commie scheme or message, just an age old trope used in comedy since comedy was invented.

I think some of my brain cells died from stupid overload....oh well, back to laughing my ass off.

Equally hilarious and/or depressing is the study that was released last week that found that people who watch Fox News know less about current events than people who don't watch any news at all. Thats right you'll learn more about current events simply by osmosis than by actively watching fox news.

Oh Fox IS a terrible thing, as i said before they market fear to an audience in order to keep their attention in a way that borders on voluntary brainwashing.
The problem is people who universally assume that you can't criticize what is patriotic. It does not matter if the message is against the free market economy or against the civil liberties in the constitution, at the end of the day we need to pay attention to the message, not the messenger. That eagle is literally a puppet and could be made to speak the communist manifesto for all it cares, it is entirely at the whims of the people pulling its strings. This is the essence of propaganda, the idea is making the message as palatable to ones senses as possible, what better way to appeal to American patriots than to use a patriotic eagle.
Your argument appears to be that the messages couldn't possibly have communist undertones because the speaker drapes himself in American symbolism. Now the patriot act, which i would call a bad thing, is a product of that style of thinking, it violates the very principles the constitution was based on which is pretty easy to say is anti-American. BUT to use your argument if i can get a beloved piece of American iconography to say it, that would turn it from radical fascism into a proper American ideology. By the same token, Sharing and Caring for your fellow man are good, BUT that message could be used to make an argument for state controlled wealth. You see, If a government controls all wealth then they can divvy it up equally and use it to built hospitals, schools and so on, which sounds kind of nice, but that would of course be communism.

My argument was facetious at best. The problem often is that people take me, and themselves, WAY too seriously.

Fox News is a total joke - which is obvious to anyone watching it.(Evidence can easily be provided) The problem being that, as the only right-wing channel, right wingers have to accept it as Gospel. And this is the case with most of the right-wing agencies as Murdoch owns them all.

I made a vain attempt to watch it, but I find that with most things I tend to shut out absolute stupidity. It's a god damn movie, almost all movies shouldn't be taken seriously. A hapless Pizza boy will not be able to successfully rob a bank, most people don't want a guy with underwear outside his pants "protecting them", and cars won't turn into giant robots and tear up a city (at least not without being forced to pay us back).
