Communism/socialism has been responsible for more deaths than the holocaust and WW1 and WW2 combined. Over 55,000,000 people alone have died in communist china, most due to starvation because of communism. And The soviet union wasn't much better. Oh, but that wasn't communisms fault, right? Improper application of the system, right?

I was actually listening to a radio segment on a decidedly not-Fox-affiliated group and somebody pointed out that, not too long ago, the thought of our current government becoming Communist had a higher approval rating than Congress. And it bothered me.

Ok, ill prove you wrong. Name one story fox news lied about. Not difference of opinion. Not error in reporting. An intentional misrepresentation of the facts. Meaning, they knew the truth, but purposefully reported a falsehood.

And site an unbiased source that proves that they lied. I shall continue to wait for my challenge to be met.

There is the lying thing. They have a long history of lying, and most of that ended in a lawsuit that cost them a few bob. we have plenty available alternatives to oil that with a little more funding could make oil completely obselete but it never comes around because capitalist oil companies do whatever they can in their power to ensure those projects dont get funded so they can keep making more and more money off of your car.

Haha, its all good. And you are pretty much re-affirming my point, to most liberals (except maybe a few crooked politicians) its more about environmentalism. This is a view I can totally get behind. Ive never understood how the conservative big wigs cant embrace this while sticking to a big business mentality, it isnt impossible for somebody to make a huge killing in green fuel and such. I mean why isnt anybody else saying "Hmmm, I could make cuss-load of cash by investing heavily in *insert alternative source here*, and it would help ease the whole energy situation. Fox has an awful habit of purposely misreading things to provide the best story. Though I have not seen the Muppets movie, would it be fair to say that the movie was more focused on saying "dedicating your life to greed to the point of it being the only force in your life" was a bad thing rather than all of business being a bad thing? This is a very big distinction.

Second of all, "brainwashing" is never the right word. The Muppets are presenting the view of the writers, if that (more likely, they just wanted the basic, greedy antagonist more than trying to make a message.) It's not propaganda, Fox. It's entertainment. Everything from "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" to "Twilight" presents some form of view or message. It's up to the parents or the child him/herself to decide whether they want to follow what the Muppets are saying.

Finally, I really don't think the point they are presenting is necessarily communism, and if it was, kids would obviously not grasp that. If anything, it's presenting the "don't be an obnoxious jerk" theory.
