Guys we've been blind this is clearly the workings of valve. All the time they spent saying they hate the ps3 and all of the sudden they go all out with portal 2. You see the supposed "Steam Integration" was nothing more than away for PC users to get access to consoles and destroy the console industry from the inside out by making customers turn their backs on sony. Microsoft however saw this coming at the beggining of this generation and implemented the strict guidlines of xbox live.

Providing? You seem confused. The feature was called "Other OS" for a reason... it's not too hard to figure out.

Um.. I'm guessing you don't follow PlayStationEU or Playstation on Twitter? I have seen many updates from them mentioning the work they're doing, they didn't KNOW what was taken or HOW. They weren't "playing dead". Hell, they updated even when there wasn't anything to update. It was the Easter holidays. I'm guessing the entire security team/PSN staff were working overtime, away from their own families. Shit like this doesn't just happen. There are "hackers" and there are butt-hurt assholes looking for trouble, with no care for ANYONE.

Seriously, if anyone's blaming Sony for this, you're a fucking idiot. Especially if your PSN details were leaked. Sony didn't leak them, hackers done hacked it, yo.

Wait a minute, I dont get you. Your smart enough to realize that they dont know WHAT or HOW it was leaked but then you believe that sony has no responsibility in this?

So you do realize there is NO proof whatsoever that ANYTHING got out but sony is spinning the story to make people freak against the hackers and the PS3 crackers. It dosent take 6 days to figure out something was downloaded. If it does then thats just plain incompetence from a major corporation. So why should sony go free on this? That they had no responsibility in not only how easy it must have been to access their network but how they didnt do anything to stop the compromise of integral data? Sounds rather fishy to me that you would just "let" someone go after personal files... or maybe he didnt go after them?

Sony is trying to turn you against him by misleading you by saying things were "compromised" or "may have been stolen". It dosent take 6 days to figure out data was downloaded, it takes 6 days to make it LOOK like the same person may have had the potential too.

Sorry, but some unknown guy playing Batman possessing all that info does not make one feel calm. That he MAY not use it doesn't mean he won't use it, you said it yourself, it's all about may and may not, but the thing is there is no reason whatsoever to think one or the other scenario can be completely ruled out. It's still the simple fact that a person or group who you never authorized to have your info has it now without you having a single say in it, even if they just print it out, delete it and use it as toilet paper it will still make a huge amount of people in here be outright paranoid for a long time.

It could be possible but it is also possible that some members of Anon weren't who they said they were. What i mean is when the sony got hacked by Anon, a hacker, or a group of hacker, with in the group that hacked sony were indeed hacking not as a protest but in order to find the info needed to hack psn and get all the information. It is also possible that they used Anon as a distraction while they as a separate group hacked psn. It would not be hard to use the cover since anon is almost fully public when they attack.
