OMFG! Sony you've dissapointed me a little bit.
I know that a company never can be hack safe, but still.....

Just know that whatever happens I'll never give up on Sony!
When they say they're doing the best they can to solve this I believe them.

3. It is highly unlikely your credit card is in ANY real danger. Especially now that the warning is out. If (im gona throw you crazies a bone here) par say he is a "malicious hacker" he would know better than to use a card of someone who knows its been compromised.
that is true. anyone who thinks of using them after this report is a idiot

*echoing* idiot... idiot... idiot...

*MEANWHILE IN DR.WEIRDS LAB ON THE JERSEY SHORE*

Dr. Weird: STEVE, I GOT CREDIT CARD INFO FROM THE PSN. LETS GO TO BANANA REPUBLIC!!!

Guys we've been blind this is clearly the workings of valve. All the time they spent saying they hate the ps3 and all of the sudden they go all out with portal 2. You see the supposed "Steam Integration" was nothing more than away for PC users to get access to consoles and destroy the console industry from the inside out by making customers turn their backs on sony. Microsoft however saw this coming at the beggining of this generation and implemented the strict guidlines of xbox live.

Wow, Sony really, really dropped the ball on this.

I'm put in mind of a Captain refusing to mention that his ship is taking on water until it's already half submerged.

My sympathies to all PS3 owners out there,

Be wise. Be safe. Be aware.

What happens if Linux finally becomes obsolete and unsupported?
Do you even know what Linux is?

Why should Sony keep providing an outdated OS when they can add a much better one to new systems?
Providing? You seem confused. The feature was called "Other OS" for a reason... it's not too hard to figure out.

It's THEIR service. It may be YOUR console, but THEY provide your access to it.
They provide access to the thing you bought at the store and brought home? Again, more confusion here.

I know when I buy a console, I'm not looking for an operating system.
So you want a hunk of plastic and metal that just sits there and maybe spins the fans?

I want a console that plays games and can possibly watch Bluray/DVD movies. That's what they have been for many, many years..
Oh, so you do want an OS. Man, now I'm confused. Well, not really, that was just said for effect.

Um.. I'm guessing you don't follow PlayStationEU or Playstation on Twitter? I have seen many updates from them mentioning the work they're doing, they didn't KNOW what was taken or HOW. They weren't "playing dead". Hell, they updated even when there wasn't anything to update. It was the Easter holidays. I'm guessing the entire security team/PSN staff were working overtime, away from their own families. Shit like this doesn't just happen. There are "hackers" and there are butt-hurt assholes looking for trouble, with no care for ANYONE.

Seriously, if anyone's blaming Sony for this, you're a fucking idiot. Especially if your PSN details were leaked. Sony didn't leak them, hackers done hacked it, yo.
Wait a minute, I dont get you. Your smart enough to realize that they dont know WHAT or HOW it was leaked but then you believe that sony has no responsibility in this?

So you do realize there is NO proof whatsoever that ANYTHING got out but sony is spinning the story to make people freak against the hackers and the PS3 crackers. It dosent take 6 days to figure out something was downloaded. If it does then thats just plain incompetence from a major corporation. So why should sony go free on this? That they had no responsibility in not only how easy it must have been to access their network but how they didnt do anything to stop the compromise of integral data? Sounds rather fishy to me that you would just "let" someone go after personal files... or maybe he didnt go after them?

Anon isnt out for your bank account, Anon isnt out for your doorstep, This anon is out for sony. Sony is trying to turn you against him by misleading you by saying things were "compromised" or "may have been stolen". It dosent take 6 days to figure out data was downloaded, it takes 6 days to make it LOOK like the same person may have had the potential too.
Sorry, but some unknown guy playing Batman possessing all that info does not make one feel calm. That he MAY not use it doesn't mean he won't use it, you said it yourself, it's all about may and may not, but the thing is there is no reason whatsoever to think one or the other scenario can be completely ruled out. It's still the simple fact that a person or group who you never authorized to have your info has it now without you having a single say in it, even if they just print it out, delete it and use it as toilet paper it will still make a huge amount of people in here be outright paranoid for a long time.

Every day these updates pop up and i get a good laugh, its truly sad to see a company as big as sony be taken out by some over weight pimply faced 16 year in the basement.

I think that whoever did this did it purely to spite Sony, and did it just to prove he could and sit back and watched while people went apeshit on Sony for letting themselves get hacked. Still, there's obviously nothing that indicates this.

DAAAAAAAMNNNN.

I think anybody who thought this was the work of any hacker or anon is clearly wrong now.

Anonymous would have no reason to do this, they aren't stupid, they know that this is a HUGE Privacy violation, and is the exact opposite of what they want to accomplish.

I still think it's the retards at Anon
and to think a fortnight ago they were all "We're on your side, really"

I know Anon said it wasn't them but who buys that?
It could be possible but it is also possible that some members of Anon weren't who they said they were. What i mean is when the sony got hacked by Anon, a hacker, or a group of hacker, with in the group that hacked sony were indeed hacking not as a protest but in order to find the info needed to hack psn and get all the information. It is also possible that they used Anon as a distraction while they as a separate group hacked psn. It would not be hard to use the cover since anon is almost fully public when they attack.
