That was on every system (Save the Wii).

Aye, the HDR lighting was also used in The Lost Coast, so if that can be done on a PC a number of years prior to the release of the PS3, it seems an odd thing for them to boast about.

plus im on this and MSN at the same time, which means my mind is in MSN mode and i type like im talking to my friends on MSN.

and i know they crap all over consoles, you know why? its mentioned in these forums 5000 times a day.

i don't mean to be a dick head, because im not, im usually very calm and peaceful and like having a few jokes here and their, but when someone brings up a point that everyone knows, its gets a bit stupid

Personally I think that the only reason that you don't want PC's mentioned is because the shit all over consoles, not only for gaming but also for the other features the boast. And maybe if Sony made a video game console that was presented as such instead of as a cheaper and less versatile computer none of this would occur, but that's all they've been doing. Remember, "it does everything"

For the exact same reasons you don't care about what PCs can do, I don't care about what extraneous multimedia crap the PS3 can do. It goes both ways. And maybe, just maybe, if annoying Sony fanboys would take the time to formulate their arguments in a logical sense that doesn't make them sound like they last worked for Fox News, then perhaps people wouldn't be taking the piss out of them and pointing out that it is both intellectually dishonest and silly to go "LOOK! HDR!" when that's been going on for about 8 years now. I mean really, God of War III by all rights and means should be a killer app for the PS3. Its exclusivity should sell itself, but since Sony is a company of pathological liars that seek to punish their fans for actually knowing anything, they like to put stuff out like this in a pathetic attempt to claim they have a technological edge. If my laptop from 2005 with a half-burnt out processor could do HDR (and it did), then HDR is not a selling point for a console for me. Even from a home console standpoint Sony's technical edge is negligible and that edge did not allow them to stay on top of the heap. And yet they're still pretending it's 2002 and that they somehow still lead the industry and that they somehow can foist their handpicked formats on the populace. Judging by the non-universal nature of the UMD and the inability for Blu-Rays to have replaced DVDs, I think it's safe to say that they aren't in charge of anything except for their own delusional reality that the less logical eat up like it was coated in sugar.

4 different iterations of the PS3 every time they had to phase out half their models...which was about once every 6 months, clearly.

No, there are only a handful of exclusives that would make me buy a PS3: Folklore, Valkyria Chronicles, inFamous and White Knight Chronicles. And Versus XIII...if it's an exclusive.

GoW never entered my mind due to how dismal the last one was.

Really, the only diff between the systems is the Blu-Ray and how they market themselves. Sony likes to say that the PS3 does "Everything", yet it isn't backwards compatable, has less than robust online play, and if "Everything" means "Also hard to program for", then they are right.

only the 40g PS3's dont have backwards compatability, whitch are no longer being made, the 60g and upwards have backwards capability, i know this because i own a 60g my self and play descruction derby quite often, just because it was possibly 1 of the best driving games to be ever released for the fgirst playstation.

I have the 80g, it's not backwards compatible. And I've tried recent titles, none of them have worked so far.

All ps3's are backwards compatible with ps1 games. PS2 tends to be the old 40gb, 60gb and 80gb (us only). Ps3 slims are compatible with all ps1 games, but no ps2 games.

Well, every game that was made for the PS3 exclusively could have been done for the x360, no doubt in that (with the possible exception of MGS4 that while not impossible, would be impractical). But so what? Every game for the x360 could have been made for the PS3 as well with no exceptions. Then again, there are games like Dragon Age Origins that looks rubbish on x360, and considering the developer, it wasn't because it got more attention on the PS3 version.

The only major difference between these consoles is the discs they use. PS3 use Blu ray, (which is 25gb if I remember correctly, 50 if it's dual-layered) and Xbox use dvds, (7.5gb, dual-layered is up to 18gb.) Games like Uncharted 2 and MGS4 could of course be done on the 360, but the manufacturing costs would be higher, as two or more discs would have to be made.

God Of War 3 COULD be on the 360, if you were OK with it having graphics dumbed - down to look terrible like Gears Of War. If you want it to have proper graphics, it can only be done on the PS3. Sony have been saying it about every exclusive because it's true about every exclusive and that's Microsoft's fault, not Sony's. Microsoft CHOSE to use last - gen technology in their machine and now they're paying the price. GOW 3 is only possible on PS3, MGS4 is only possible on the PS3, GT 5 is only possible on PS3, Uncharted 2 is only possible on PS3. Those are just the facts.
