The only complaint i could have is to not make me have to swing it around, in order to play a game. I like to play games durring classes without having to chatch the teacher`s attention by hitting my fellow classmates.

Also, please don`t make it cost dollars.
It took me a while to get that, but when I did

Aw lame! I just bought a PSP fairly recently!
Bloody technology. You're never on top for longer than a few months...

I'd almost buy it just for the dual analog sticks though. I don't know how the hell they didn't think of that 'til now.

How long until the Japanese make a 'Open her Bra! Funky Touch!' dating sim?

...and then some poor bastard is gonna have to master fondling the PSPs back using only one hand...
I lol'd.

So, what will the next one be called? The Next Next Generation Portable?

Anyway, looks cool, but I probably won't buy it any time soon. There really aren't that many games I bought for PSP, and those God of War games just piss me off to where I don't play the thing much...

*Cancels 3DS Pre-order*

JK. That thing looks fat! Still if it really does PS3 graphics at a reasonable price I may consider purchasing one. All depends on the game library and my current income.

Is it just me or is NGP sorta a foolish thing to name your product? Maybe its supposed to sound all futuristic but in a few years its gonna become current gen and the name will seem silly

Just 2 things.
Is it a phone?
Where will you get the games?

These questions will make it or break it.

They didn't announce the price point, most likely because it's too high to pull off a coup d'etat with.

I imagined them just putting an image of the thing on screen, and then saying "two hundred and forty-nine US dollars." That would have been a great way to hit Nintendo.

As is, I'm probably going to get it (particularly if they add a PS2 back library), but it might be too expensive to get brand new.

That is the code name. Just like Microsoft called Kinect Natal all the up t till the launch date was announced. All companies use stand in names until the marketing guys have time to put an actual name to it. That usual doesn't happen until closer to launch day.

I own LittleBigPlanet, Resistance and Uncharted for the PS3. Will I have to purchase these games again to play them on the NGP?

I own many PSP titles on UMD drives. Will there be some way to play them on the NGP without having to purchase them on the PSN (if they are even available there)?

I own many PS2 games. Will I be able to play them on the NGP without having to purchase them for a second time?

I own many PS1 games. Will I be able to play them on the NGP without having to purchase them again?

Will anything play from here on the still rumored Playstation Phone and vice versa?

This is what I asked in the official forums. The question is will they answer it without the corporate double-speak of "we're looking into it" of the PSPGo...
My guesses: no, no, no, no, and no.

If it's powerful enough to run PS3 ports, I hope PS2 games become available for download. :D
As soon as I read this amazing post, my iTunes started playing Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah.

Please, oh please, allow us to download virtual PS2 games.

While it does look sleek and "Sexy", and the technical specs are nice, it all depends on the games released on it, my friends. While Nintendo seems to Have gotten every 3rd party developer on board with the 3DS, I think Sony will have a struggle getting Companies to side with it, because the PSP itself wasn't a huge seller, and companies don't wanna loose money when it comes to gaming.

Me? As a Nintendo Fan, and since the 3DS is gonna have a Kid Icurus Game, I am going to stay with that. The PSP itself had nothing I wanted to play (Save for Rock Band Unplugged or whatever it was called), and Uncharted isn't really a game I want. *Waits patiently for 3DS launch*

It'll be $300 and Sony will still be losing $50-$100 on each console for the first year or two of its lifespan.

It puzzles me, sometimes, that the 3DS and the PSPgo launched (or will launch) with the exact same MSRP and yet got such incredibly different reactions. And I'm not talking about the bits of functionality that the PSPgo lacked that irritated reviewers, I'm just talking about that visceral reaction to the pricetag.

It also kinda shocks me when people call the PSP a "flop". Yeah, 62 million units sold, I can see why Sony wouldn't want to make another one... /sarcasm. Sure, it didn't sell as well as the DS, but that's still quite a profitable slice of the market.

As for this one... It will depend heavily on price, I expect, but with the 3DS launching at $250, that gives them a fair justification to charge at least that much. Much over $300 and I don't see it succeeding particularly well, though.

Of course, Sony could throw down the gauntlet early and launch it at $200, and wouldn't that be interesting...

*sigh* motion controls...

That's all I want to do is wildly swing my PSP in the air while I'm playing my games.

Call me old-fashioned but I can't stand gimmicks. Touch-screem, touch-pad, motion controls, and cameras? That kind of stuff just breaks immersion for me.

I didn't know about 3/4ths of the developers on the list... So... I dunno to say to that... The 1/4th I knew about basically put everything on every console though (With the exception of Square Enix).
