It was about as obvious as a Rhesus monkey with an airhorn...

With all due respect, sir, but suing before the scope of the problem is identified, nor knowing what measures Sony has taken, how they will offer restitution to their customers, how the problem became such a clusterfuck in the first place, nor how they intend to rectify said problem, is not "being on the ball", it is being petty.dkyros said:This is a world wide event, I'm sure this is just the beginning. I'm sure Sony as a whole won't go bankrupt, but they may choose to mop up Sony Computer Entertainment. Even if the legal fees won't kill it, the lack of trust by consumers might. Then again, that might just be the frightend gamer in me speaking.KaosuHamoni said:Don't get me wrong, I'm irritated at Sony, but I've been a loyal Playstation gamer since the off, and at this rate, I can see them declaring bankruptcy in the forseeable future.
I've seen several, all of which seem like active trolls making trouble on forums. There are times when being an asshole goes beyond rude and into unacceptable.ZeZZZZevy said:Has anyone's credit card info actually been stolen? I haven't seen a single example as of yet that someone suffered from Identity theft, and to actually win a case like this you do need legitimate examples.

If Ratchet and Clank was on the 360, I would have a 360. But it unfortunately isn't so I don't.VGC USpartan VS said:I sure hope once Sony dies from this that I can finally play Ratchet & Clank on my Xbox 360... seriously, Ratchet & Clank + Uncharted are the only reasons why I even play my PS3!
Oh gosh, my heart just skipped a beat and I felt kinda heart broken that SCE may not survive this.Casual Shinji said:I'm sure Sony as a whole won't go bankrupt, but they may choose to mop up Sony Computer Entertainment. Finding the hackers won't do any good at this point. The data that was stolen off PSN is probably on a hundred thousand computers all over the world by now.Frank_Sinatra_ said:That's what I've been thinking. Shouldn't we be focusing on finding the alleged hackers (if that is the case) than attacking Sony?El Poncho said:How will this help the situation?
Plus how is attacking Sony going to get PSN back any sooner?
It does seem like very convenient timing, however I don't think it's been implied anywhere that the breach was through a playstation.Celtic_Kerr said:The sad part is that this is the main point right? I men, the PS3 was unhackable until some dude showed up and hacked it, then someone else, then someone else. There are people out there that simply CAN.

Which would've been a valid argument had SONY been forthright with the scope of the damages from hackers. However, they waited around and released the information days later that the scope of damages will include all personal information submitted to PSN and probably your credit card info. Therefore I see no reason to wait to hear SONYs plan to rectify the situation. If they had a plan they should've released it with their previous press release.MatsVS said:With all due respect, sir, but suing before the scope of the problem is identified, nor knowing what measures Sony has taken, how they will offer restitution to their customers, how the problem became such a clusterfuck in the first place, nor how they intend to rectify said problem, is not "being on the ball", it is being petty.dkyros said:This is a world wide event, I'm sure this is just the beginning. Those hackers better hope that if anyone catches them, it is the police. I understand the blunder of Sony's part, but they didn't give that info out, it was taken. And they are offering a free online service. Come on Sony, pull through! I don't want to see you go under.Frank_Sinatra_ said:Oh gosh, my heart just skipped a beat and I felt kinda heart broken that SCE may not survive this.Casual Shinji said:I'm sure Sony as a whole won't go bankrupt, but they may choose to mop up Sony Computer Entertainment. I mean, we all could guess that this wouldn't be easy to survive at all but actually seeing it written down makes me really sad.
