Dead Nation
inFAMOUS
LittleBigPlanet
Super Stardust HD
Wipeout HD + Fury
This is weird... It clearly says that the games can be kept forever..

However, the Finnish site says:

Ilmaisten pelien ja eksklusiivisten ominaisuuksien käyttöoikeus loppuu 30 päivän tilausjakson päätyttyä.
"The right to use free games and exclusive content ends 30 days after the purchase."

It's probably just mistranslated, the language seems really flimsy. It's still a bit weird.

EDIT: Just to make it clear, the Finnish translation is completely unambiguous, according to the text, you can only play for 30 days. No other way to interpret it.

And yeah, apparently the EU site isn't giving the game away either. What the hell?

Ya know, Sony can offer up all the free games that they want, but that doesn't necessarily mean that consumers will trust them again, or use their service for that matter.

Way I see it, Sony is gonna have to start offering a paid online service, something similar to Xbox Live, so they offer up a stronger online security. And God knows after recieving years of free online service, most PS3 users won't take to kindly to this. So Sony's gonna have to dig deep down and offer up some real incentives for people to come back to them. And not just some games and a few movie rentals.

Main thing they need to worry about right now though is providing their consumers with trust and security. They've got to show everyone that they know they made a mistake, and that they'll work so it doesn't happen again. Sony's got its work cut out for it, that's for sure.

Hopefully, no one listens to you. Not everything M$ does is a good idea.

I hope europe gets just as good of a deal as this, I'd really like to get inFamous and LBP free

edit: we do! Wooooo! I never use PSN so I wasn't too annoyed with Sony anyway, and this is great. They haven't properly make amends yet, but this is a good start.

I liked the offer. inFAMOUS and Wipeout HD are titles I wanted to have, so, quite good.

I really hope Sony and the rest of the industry learn the hard lessons from the last month. Everyone will profit if they do.

And to those suggesting a paid PSN, like XBL... I pity you.

This is great I finally now have new games to play on my PSP.

Now only if the PSN would work for me. I thought everything is now fine, so why am I still getting the error number?

Hey guys, all you who are moping around, I'll tell you there's nothing to be moping about (hey, that kinda rhymed :)). I live in Germany and here Infamous and Dead Nation have been replaced by Super Stardust HD and Hustle Kings. How's that? Everyone feels better now ;)?

It's such a small list for such huge spectrum of games out there... I was wishing that SONY would give us a bigger list, and not games that are like 2-3 years old... many people own these titles already... but again... complaining about it here won't help...

Like I said B4, shit can happen to ANYONE, SONY pissed of Hackers, and they took vengeance, that's all, they fixed, and try to make up, that's all good with me already... I've met worse companies, gift to trade loyalty is nice and all... but 2 titles, 6 sections is kinda cheap, making this gift valuable, but not heart worming, I'd go with one, but ANY GAME UNDER $70!~ but that's just me, and my thoughts over this "welcome packet"... (I just hope PSN-online game play is still free, this is why I chose PS3 instead of gay-box-live)

Does anyone know what PS+ is? having it for like a month or so only seemed like SONY think of it as a very expensive service... what's so hot about it? I'd like to know...

Sure wish i lived in europe because id takr Ratchet & Clank over any of the games on the north america list.

But i guess i'll just have to live with infamous and dead nation since i already have LBP and im not a fan of raceing games.

I already have inFAMOUS and LBP, but I'll probably take Dead Nation. I've always kind of tended towards the 360 for primarily multiplayer games because that's where my friends are for the most part, but I'll never buy another multiplayer-centric game for the PS3 again.

I had a 2/3-useless copy of Portal 2 for a month.
No multiplayer.
No free PC copy.
No steam.
Screw that.

If there are graphics-oriented single player experiences, I'll still buy for my obsidian monolith. If I even think I might want to play online, though, Gates is getting the licensing.

I love this. Sony winning back people for a service that is free. How many people pay for PSN plus and will them users get more stuff as they pay for the service? Not like all those people that use the free service can go else where? Where as the PSN plus subscribers can chose to not renew their subscription.
Yeah, but people can choose to play PC games (free online, unless it's a subscription game) or go to M$. I don't subscribe to plus, but I do subscribe to gold. If a lot of people like me decide to stop buying PS3 games, that's an awful lot of licensing fees gone forever.

Meh. Not impressed. If you are a Playstation faithful and have had your system for more than a year, chances are you have already played most of the games on the list (heck I own 3 of them). The 2 that I don't have don't entice me that much. As for the rest of it, seems like a money grab to me. Sure we'll "give" you a month of PSN Plus, just to rope you into paying for a service after the month is up. Pathetic attempt on Sonys part. I would have more respect for them if they actually did nothing, opposed to handing out dated games (at least 1 of which has a sequel that has already been release *Cough* Little Big Planet 2 *cough*). This seems like something they were forced to do (think lawyers), opposed to something they did to win their customers back.

First off, way to take a quote and twist it way out of context.

Secondly, I never said anything along the lines of Microsoft doing everything right. They've screwed up before, and I certainly expect them to screw up again. But I believe that their online service for Xbox Live works really well. By charging $60 yearly subscriptions, Microsoft has been able to build up a strong online community and provide a strong sense of security among Xbox Live users.

And if Sony were to mimic this formula, they could produce similar results among their online community. Of course, this is by no means the best or correct way for Sony to go about handling this situation, but I believe that this would be the right general direction for them to take to ensure that this doesn't happen again.
