As a side-note, it seems like Bioware never does anything wrong.
Except for making an MMO instead of a real KOTOR RPG.
... and then revealing it will be fully voiced, that each player will get their own ship full of NPC's, that it has more content than the last two KOTOR games and then some, and that you can play the game pretending that it's single player.
Seriously, I don't even have a PC and love single player more than anything else, and I still think this game is awesome. I might buy a PC just to play this game.

Was Star fox popular with everyone? I know I loved it but had no idea so many people played it.
Star Fox was bloody awesome. Dad played it a lot when I was little, he got all the Medals (inc expert). I'm also constantly surprised by how many people play it. When playing BF2 with a bunch of friends the other day, I said "We're gonna break through that fleet" and everyone got the reference o_O

Fully voiced, tons of NPCs and content I knew; is that last bit verifiable, however? I never heard anything about it being a "voluntary MMO" so to speak. If it is true, I might be in the same boat that you are. Source?

i think the MASSIVE question to still be what Bioware's plans for the end game are.

although this seems like a really fun little meta game weaved into the gameplay

Im just hoping that this dosent mean random encounters to the enth degree.
It won't work like that, although they've said they don't know if they'll be entirely optional. I.e. You may have to do a few to advance your character's story arc.

You can play it by yourself for the most part in the MMOG world. It's not got a separate single-player campaign.

Tom, do these guys pay your wage or what ?

The MMO is already pretty huge with the none instance railed crap, without adding the cheap theatrics...to be honest I was intrested in the MMO until they tossed in the cheap WoW like bomb run activities, yes WoW like as it has many of those rail guided flight sequences in since TBC.

Ok, it may look good but whats the cost ? A loading screen to your ship and then a tour guide flight from one site to another. I prefer less loading screens and more immersion... ok so I wont have R2D2 as a personal ***** but at least I wont be at the mercey of my HDD loading times.

My concern is more about the gameplay. If I need a guild or whatever other MMO nonsense to fully enjoy the game then I'm won't be into it. I want it to be a huge KOTOR game with optional multiplayer rather than a WoW clone with some Bioware flair. So far, it seems like the latter to me.

Unfortunately, BioWare does not pay my wage, but I'm open to a wage garnishing if the company wants (email me). I genuinely happen to think it looks like a fun diversion... and way better than any WoW bombing run I've ever done. Opinions may differ, but that doesn't mean one that approves of something others do not is being paid off.

To my knowledge your character will gain AI party members just like the kotor games which will aid in your missions but will probably be absent if you choose to do the mission with other players.

that's funny because if you go over to an MMO site like Massively or something you see a lot of folks saying the exact opposite :p
I think a good way to gauge how much I like this is to see how much WoW players hate it lol.

I wonder how they plan to pull that off. It wouldn't really make sense to have multiple versions of the same NPC running around in an area.

I very much doubt that they'll have a space combat sequence activate every time you fly from one planet to another. It's more likely that space combat will be part of some of the available quests.
