Sometimes it actually sickens me how guys treat girl gamers. I mean,what fucking difference does it make whether you're getting fragged by someone with tits or not!!! Although with the number of obese gamers that could be a man or a woman.

Seriously... I would date her.. she looks cute in the face, I'd always have a buddy to eat with since I hate eating out alone, and we'd have great conversation because our interests obviously would be the same.
I mean seriously, a girl I can talk about Disgaea strategies with? I'd marry her in a heartbeat.

A lot of the responses to this post seem incredibly defensive. Does it really matter if some women are more "hardcore"? There will always be women (and men) that don't fit stereotypes and we should be happy for that. It seems like there are a lot of rigid views of how female gamers are and if you subscribe to that bull**** you're probably only going to run into that type of female gamer.

Anyways, some girl gamers I know are pretty hardcore. Even more so than m- I'll never admit it!

Actually now that I think of it, my male friends tend to only want to play one or two games online before they call it a night or do something else. My female friends want to keep playing game after game. I barely have the stamina to keep up with them.

But yes, given the choice between running with a guy and a confirmed woman player, I'll pick the woman because I know she's not going to be screwing around like the guy might. They're just more focused than guys when it comes down to it. Face it we men have the attention span of a lab rat.

to be honest when i play games i find the guys to be the more dedicated, sure they have the attention span of a lab rat a lot of the time, but the man wants to win he wants to be number one, so he will go for it with his best to get it done, but for me female players are more about having fun and messing around. though it is all down to the person themself.

It's nice to know that the second a stereotypically 'unattractive' female gamer is put up everyone yells and screams in horror whether they themselves are the pinnacle of sexy or otherwise. Here's the deal. We're not in gaming to be your eye candy and you have no right to flame us, troll us or otherwise just because we're females, attractive or otherwise. How the fuck would you feel to have a bunch of people saying shit like that about you?

I meant it purely as a joke. An inconsiderate one, I'll admit but there was no malicious intent behind what I said.
In fact I barely even remember what it was I even said.
I'm not the greatest specimen of man myself, I'm a pigeon-chested stick of a person who's more often mistaken for a bearded girl than anything else.

But do I take offence to anyone pointing that out? No (mostly because the people I tend to even bother listening to are my friends) Because I'm more than capable of laughing at myself.

Also, what I said I don't even begin to consider trolling, as I said I was joking, surely the person who's in this picture must have a sense of humour about herself? (If she doesn't she's part of minority)

While we're on this subject (although, lord knows why...) I can't shake the feeling that had it been a male in the picture instead there would be no issue from either side...

It's amusing in the fact that this study doesn't really prove anything. For all we know these girls just sit and chat for 8 hours a day without even really PLAYING the game. Aside from that, a single game does not a gamer make.
