loved it, also in my top 20 from last year.DustyDrB said:Monsters. It's a movie from last year. It's a good movie, just don't expect (despite the title) a typical monster movie.
damn good movie that one, remake is shit.mrdude2010 said:i would recommend the original flight of the pheonix too
I actually loved it lol, nice pick though most people haven't seen it.Julianking93 said:I actually watched that a few weeks ago and... I don't know.Caligulove said:
I had heard it was great but there was just something about it I couldn't get into.
Well written and had good dialogue and I'm a huge fan of noir films but... I don't know. Something about it just didn't click. >.>
Nice to see a new take on that genre though :3
WOW now that sound really damn good!Windupferrari said:The Sunshine Limited. It's a film adaptation of a Cormac McCarthy play (he wrote No Country for Old Men, for those who don't know him). Basically, a suicidal atheist professor (Tommy Lee Jones) and a very Christian old man who just stopped him fro killing himself (Samuel L. Jackson) have a long, intense, philosophical discussion about God, death, etc. They do a great job with the acting, and even though it's nothing but dialogue and the whole thing takes place in Jackson's apartment, it's still a very gripping movie. Especially the ending, with Jones' monologue and the pain it caused Jackson, it just gave me shivers... I'm gonna go watch it again. I highly suggest you do the same.
Actually watched ink a long time ago and loved it. loads of creativity and a great ending.d3structor said:Ink was good if you were looking for some more under the radar movies.
Only watched it once but is sticks out in my memory pretty vividly.
Edit:someone beat me to it for recommending Ink so consider this seconded
Just remembered, "The Legend of Bagger Vance" is a very good movie that's almost unheard of. It's about a man finding himself again after Vietnam because his town needs him to play a golf match against Bobby Jones and Bob Hagan.jjboat said:I'm looking for movies to watch that are underrated or under seen. I've seen thousands of movies, and most of the widely popular or mainstream films. Are there any films you consider to be very good that have gone under the radar?
Glad to hear it, that film deserves more exposure.jjboat said:snip
Trust me, it is! It's hard to explain how a movie that's nothing but dialogue can be so captivating, but it's just so powerful.jjboat said:WOW now that sound really damn good!
I can see why people liked it and it was a very well made film but there was just something about it I didn't really like and I still can't seem to put my finger on why that is but... meh.jjboat said:I actually loved it lol, nice pick though most people haven't seen it.
I wouldnt call chopper an independant filmWadders said:Chopper. I don't hear it talked about much, but it's a great film, bloody hilarious. Not sure if you will have seen it or not, but I dont know too many people who have. I wouldnt say it was exactly an unknown film either though, but I dont really watch many indie films or whatever.
