As much as I enjoy sex, I can definitely understand the correlation. Honestly I'm surprised that survey reached 70%.
If this is true, then 100% of the sexual partners of those remaining 30% of women need to seriously up they're game in bed.Earnest Cavalli said:84 percent of women enjoy gaming, while only 70 percent enjoy sex? [/B]
This. I practically pissed myself laughing.thiosk said:The survey did not account for the fact that 90 % of the female respondents were dudes roleplaying as females.
I love you, Calumon. You're awesome. <3Jack and Calumon said:So, how many lads are feeling self conscious right now?
Calumon: They like games better than them being a girl? That's silly.
Jack: ...Yes, let's go with that.
You're misreading a pun making fun of Doritos treating satisfaction as an on/off switch? This must be the most valid reason why you shouldn't need a license to conduct shitty surveys: they're pretty damn amusing.Stall said:God fucking dammit. I wish people needed a license to use statistics. As a statistician, nothing enrages me more than someone outright exploiting my science like this, especially for something juvenile and immature.
The questions weren't worded like "which do you find more satisfying?", but most likely something like "which of the following activities do you find enjoyable?". Thus a participant could have answered that they find all activities are enjoyable, none, or somewhere in between. You can't really reach that conclusion with that style of wording.Kargathia said:But...but... it does mean that among women gaming has a higher satisfaction rate than sex. Or should I say climax rate?
In addition, the 84% number is from that group of women who do play online games. It doesn't give us the proportions for 51% of women who are not classified as gamers, nor the proportion for the two groups combined.
Besides, its very probable that the sample itself was shit (ie it wasn't representative), so that totally negates all the findings in the survey. It's just a moronic poll that has zero reliability, and is a disgrace that something like this would get posted on this website.
Seriously. Why isn't there a law that requires someone to have a license to cite statistics?
I'd like everyone to re-read this passage. Every statistic quoted after the percentage that plays games online comes from that percentage of the polled population. What it says is, of the 49% of women who play games, more of them enjoy playing videogames than enjoy having sex. Considering that women often have a difficult time having satisfying sex, the 70% figure is not all that ridiculous. If anything the surprising statistic is the 16% of women who play videogames online but don't enjoy it; why go to all the trouble of gaming on a regular basis if you don't enjoy it?Stall said:In addition, the 84% number is from that group of women who do play online games. Let's go with that...shelter Calumon as long as you can :3Jack and Calumon said:So, how many lads are feeling self conscious right now?
