Tekken Movie Trailer Isn't Appalling

Unfortunately, looking slightly better than Street Fighter: The Movie doesn't elevate it very high.
Where the heck is the PANDA!
And Gon the farting dinosaur... I know he was technically just a bonus character from a manga or something... but COME ON!

How can you do a movie about a fighting game and hope to make it decent? They have no plot and too many characters! This will suck, as have done before the SF and DoA movie.
I don't really give a damn about Tekken, I just hope they don't go along and make a Soul Calibur movie... Even worse, a SC4 movie with a Star Wars crossover! Oh, the horror...

Another note: I just watched it on youtube. Seems to be popular. But the trailer is FAIL.
1)No punching or kicking or etc sounds
2)If you watched American Idol, remember the time someone sang Beat it. There was no feeling in it. When he said THIS IS IRON FIST it had no feeling in it. You have to add meaning and expression. Not just shout it out. E.g: THIS IS SPARTA! <Perfect example of awesome shouting
3)The love plot is going to be appealing for some but for us, it won't work.
4) THE JIN! Can't they hire someone Asian for once? Just once damnit! Just once. Okay, maybe twice.
But on the lighter side: The short sentences are made of pure f'ing win! Perfect set out.
Bottomline: 75%Crap. 20%Meh 5%Awesome

I always wondered if people learned their lesson with such GREAT films like Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. Obvious answer.
i think every one is too damn serious when they go to video game movies. We all get are hopes up, become dissapointed, and then we come and waist are lives complaining on message boards. I LOVE tekken, i am going to set my standards very low just like i did for live action Dragon Ball Z. Dragon Ball Z was bad just not as bad as it would have been if i thought that the movie was so good it would cure cancer.
I didn't think that looked too bad compared to what it could've been.
To those that're ripping into the story: what were you expecting? A film based on a fighting game isn't going to win any acting/story awards (to be honest, most fighting games wouldn't).
I think it looks pretty good in a no-brainer action-er mindset. I'll be giving it a chance...

Oh lawd that looked bad, especially since the most badass character of Tekken (yoshimitsu, obviously) was only shown for a split second.
