Mass Effect 2's morality system is restrictive and arbitrary, forcing you to choose between two moral codes instead of making dynamic choices, and hurting the sincerity of your choices by connecting them to a reward that the in game characters can't see or acknowledge. without a doubt, the WORST part of the game.

The Withcer 2's story is far to focused on subtly and realism, as a result the game lacks any real point, emotionally or philosophically. The game world is so grey and realistic that neither side of the conflict ends up being sincere, thus it's impossible to learn anything from the conflict. And the characters you spend time with are never really fleshed out beyond their basic personality traits. You never learn about the things that make them human, the reasons for their flaws, the motivations for their virtues... it's hard to feel connected to characters that you barely know.

I loved Dragon Age: Origins, but that level never fails to make me want to stop playing for a week or two before getting it over with. The atmosphere is bland, the boss in the middle can be annoying as hell and insanely difficult if not prepared and it's just so long winded.
This, too

I thought the middle part of Portal 2 was easily the weakest part of the game, mostly because the it dragged on for way too long and the gameplay was much more tedious than at other parts of the game. Sure Cave Johnson was an alright character, if a little unclear personality, but the backstory for Aperture Science really killed the mystery for me, that was what created such an awesome atmosphere in the original Portal. Surely such a preposterous place could never really exist in any way that would make sense, so why try to explain it in such detail?

Also (this is a bit nit-picky, I know) when you meet up with GLaDOS again, she only talks to you at the beginning and end of each room, even though she's with you the entire time. I know the developers decided to keep her quiet while the player was solving the puzzles to keep them from being distracted, but the way she just was there on-screen with nothing to say was really out of place for here as a character, I mean shouldn't this be the best time for her to scold the player?

Devil May Cry 3 has unforgiving difficulty levels. It's replay value is infinite though, so it's got that going for it.

League of Legends takes really, really long to master and sometimes your teammates are steaming piles of crap.

For a game I totally love, Final Fantasy VII is stuffed with bad bits. The Kalm Village flashback bit can bugger right off, as can chocobo racing and Cloud's messed up memories in the Lifestream. Oh, and plodding through the snow on the northen continent, getting repeatedly lost until you collapse. Looking back, it feels like every bit of that game was either awesome or terrible - there's no middle ground.

Dead rising 2: Absolutely amazing fun, mad combo weapons and a three slot save system made this game a massive improvement over number one. That plus co-op and reasonable AI made it all the more better. My issue however, is with the final boss fight. He's incredibly tough to beat, and surprsingly so. Normal tactics don't work, and the first time I took him on, it surprised me. The overtime boss was just annoying in comparison. Then it all gets better as both their deaths are satisfying.

GTA IV: very good storyline, fantastic DLC's and a fun mutiplayer. It's just annoying how the mutiplayer has so little content, and is mostly you trying to escape from the spawn trap that is the airport. That and the lost and the damned took an already dark story and turned it even darker.

Gears of War: Both have good storylines, intresting characters and damn good mutiplayer. If it isn't lagging to high hell and you have the host on your side. If you don't have either of these, give up, if you only have one, good luck.

The third act of Bioshock 1. Subtlety was completely dropped in the story telling, bad escort missions, and a terrible boss fight. Even Ken Levine admit they dropped the ball on it.

When using the command '+SING' in Total Annihilation the units won't stop singing until you exit the game and re-start it. That can get unbearable mid-game.

The fact that you are forced to play as JACK (the b***h) Marston after beating Red Dead Redemption as Clint Eastwood and John Wayne's video-game lovechild. Piss. Me. Off.

I feel the same way, but another special mention goes to Circle Tower. God I hate the fade. Luckily I only had to do it properly once after I found the 'SkipTheFade' mod. Whoever made that is a genius.

I'll be honest, after the first playthrough of FFVII I got to a point after the first Chocobo races and decided to pick it up again the next day. Never got back to it.

The most prominent one for me would be the boss fights in Batman: Arkham Asylum. It's an absolutley stellar game, apart from its only issue being bland and godawful boss fights.

Also, in general, plot holes that aren't explained or mentioned again.

WoW: The horrible grinding between level 1 and max level. It's fun the first time, but the following 9 are a fucking chore.

GTA San Andreas: The RC vehicle missions. Wow were them tedious and hard as fuck.

TF2: Servers with premium services. Specially those that are VAT approved. Fucking hate getting steamrolled by a homing missile-launching infinite ammo-carrying invisible soldier just because he donated 5 dollars to the admin.

League of Legends: The awful community. Jeez guys, get over yourselves, you are annoying as fuck. (To all LoL pro wannabes)

Call of Duty: The community again. Kids. Kids everywhere. The game is fun but I just need to stop playing after hearing high pitch voices for 1 hour

It did have it's tedious bits. I think the parade was one of the most annoying, or the bit where you have to cross dress to infiltrate a place. God was that cringe worthy. It was still good where it counted though.

FF8 really dropped the ball though. I just don't know why they thought that game would work, then again, I'm surprised they're making a sequel to 13. Way more terrible bits then FF7.

I'm gonna have to say Final Fantasy 8. Absolutely love it, but the worst part about it... tutorials. Holy shit... give us a skip button, dammit!

As for something more recent, Last Remnant and its difficulty curve. I loved the game, even with it poor quality on Xbox 360 (thank goodness for the PC port). But just after the middle of the game (disc 1 on 360) the difficulty goes from "Hey, this is pretty easy. My units are kicking ass!" to "OMFGWTFGNERJDNVKJRFNVJEFN!!!! HOW DID THE BASIC TROOPS GET SO POWERFUL?!?!". It becomes so unrelenting!
Also, the inability to equip anyone but Rush (the main character). The amount of times I gave a weapon or armour to a character and then found out that giving it to them actually stopped them from using any skills they previously learned... gawd damn!
