Like someone might do with ...Watchmen, say..."That'd be like if today, someone made a cartoon out of The Human Centipede and put it on the Hub."

Wow, this is a debate waiting to happen, so here it goes.NinjaDeathSlap said:The only difference being that in this day and age the people at the top of the US government are trying to help the downtrodden, but are being held back by the greed and apathy of the people...
But yeah, that movie looks pretty good.
I'm in Boston, and after that big storm over the weekend a lot of places outside the city pushed it back all the way until Friday, considering they have two feet of snow, tons of downed trees and power lines, and possibly no electricity until then. We still have three more days of Schlocktober after this up here. Heh.emeraldrafael said:Theres actually a county still doing a trick or treat tonight.
All four movies are on Hulu for free.uhohimdead said:i wanna see this now but where can one find it?
The gov of USA bailed out banks was not the problem, 'cos if they didn't it would be a New Great Depression again. The problem is that the market is still de regulated and few are willing to regulate again. Also those banks saved by the American Treasury should be state banks now. State bussiness are often more stable and better protected against such crisis then private ones. Since I do not want make this post too long here are some food for thought: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Government-owned_corporation and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/State_capitalismJimHawking said:@Baresark
I love how all the wall street people that the OWS people hate would have lost every dollar they had if it weren't for the government. The system was working, the investors made a litany of bad decisions and their companies were going to collapse as a result. What was their punishment? They got balled out by the government.
If the government had swooped in to manage the collapse I would have been open to that, but that's not what they did. Not to mentioned that the government created the bubble in the first place.
P.S.
Bob said "pollution" is at the forefront of American culture. Um... what are you talking about?
The only problem with your assessment is that the collapse didn't happen in the wake of a large amount of de-regulation. Business is regulated more now than ever. The problem is that the regulation destroys smaller business competition and the only ones left who can meet it are the largest and wealthiest corporations. Those are the ones that have caused a lot of problems.brazuca said:The gov of USA bailed out banks was not the problem, 'cos if they didn't it would be a New Great Depression again. PS: I know it is wikipedia, but those articles are pretty good. I know there is a contrast between first post and the second, but it is just food for thought. About the movie however...
I saw this movie once and I think Bob overread some parts of it. I always tought he was hideous as a form of contrast the always handsome super heroes. Cap America, Superman, Batman and even the Punisher are always protrayed with some kind of beauty. I can not name many super heroes who are ugly, that is because the more "heroish" the persona is the more romantic (the literature style) the character tends to be.
