I'm not at all against using the internet for 'personal reasons', but unless I have them 'out' I am not usually wanting them to have any attention. Hence dressing up to go out.
Was this two separate thoughts originally? If not how does one have the internets "out"?nicole1207 said:I'm not at all against using the internet for 'personal reasons', but unless I have them 'out' I am not usually wanting them to have any attention. Hence dressing up to go out.
This was clearly a case of fingers going much slower than brain! I was referring to having my breasts 'out' and the first bit was about the internet. Come on hands, keep up!artanis_neravar said:Was this two separate thoughts originally? Ah, well that clears things up a bit, although I must admit I am a little disappointed now, I was hoping there were girls out there with the internet on their chest, ah wellnicole1207 said:This was clearly a case of fingers going much slower than brain! Is she flat chested? Perchance a eeny weeny bit of jealousy going on? /***** mode offParagon Fury said:"Oh, you men and your obsession with breasts! You never think about anything else! Muscles =/= breasts. Moobs are never attractive...Guffe said:Women also like breasts, as in a man with a well trained body who isn't completely "flat".
That section up there is confusing and I have no idea what I'm trying to say...

Well with the advances in bionic addons maybe one day it will be possible! nipples could be like those mouse nubs they had on older laptops!artanis_neravar said:Ah, well that clears things up a bit, although I must admit I am a little disappointed now, I was hoping there were girls out there with the internet on their chest, ah wellnicole1207 said:This was clearly a case of fingers going much slower than brain! Haha, I had been meaning to change my name for a while! Sorry about that!artanis_neravar said:That would be awesome!!
And on a side note, you have managed to confuse me twice in one day, it took me a good 5 mins to figure out why your name wasn't the same name as the one I quoted XD
Several problems here. The first being that there is no way to definitively extrapolate whether or not the OP found the lady in question attractive and even then if he actually has any interest in pursuing her. I don't know about the OP, but personally if I'm minding my own business and someone approaches me completely unprovoked simply to throw some condescending lecture or obnoxious potshot at my personal tastes my way, then I don't give a shit how attractive the guy/girl in question is, at the best of moods I'll offer up a snarky retort, but more likely than not I'll tell them to fuck off and stop bothering me (or more to that effect, than those exact words). Personality means a hell of a lot more than physical attraction in my book and I really don't take kindly to people encroaching on my personal space or insulting me without warrant, so I've no qaulms about getting rid of them and first impressions are rather crucial. I mean even if you're working from the assumption that she was being jocular and simply wanted to start up a conversation, why in the hell would you open with that? Why would they risk making such a piss poor first impression that could risk the person they're speaking to seeing them as a rude and invasive jerk? Surely if you're looking to get an actual conversation out of someone you'd open with something less condescending and inflammatory like 'Hey, whatcha reading there?' or something innocuous to that effect. It's pretty myopic on her part, to think there's no way for the other person to construe the kind of introduction she gave as patronising and invasive. The fact that the OP said nothing would indicate to me that he simply did not want to talk to her (personally nor would I in such a scenario) and to that effect he got a positive outcome as she decided to leave. The impression I get is that she was just looking to insult or mess with him; I've had guys who I can definitively say were straight pestering me in similar circumstances to try and work me up for their amusement and a response if not delivered right, may have dragged out the conversation and given her the satisfaction. The OP doesn't sound particularly fond of her, so I imagine he got exactly what he wanted from his silence.Kendarik said:The hardest thing in the world is opening a conversation with the opposite sex when you are young.
Even if the girl said, word for word, when the OP claims, the tone or thinking behind it is biased by his own insecurities. He didn't say ANYTHING in return, that, combined with his obvious dislike of the "jocks" suggests that he just assumes it was negative.
It's actually a perfect opening for a conversation if the guy has the brains to respond to it. She could easily have meant it in a teasing way. Or she could have just been having a bad day and a friendly response would have opened the door to more in the future.
No problem at all, nothing bad came from it, except my friend standing next to me probably won't let me live this down for awhiledamselgaming said:Haha, I had been meaning to change my name for a while! Sorry about that!artanis_neravar said:That would be awesome!!

I don't know where are you from, but in my country you could be called a pervert if you "admire" at a woman's ass. Also, it probably didn't help that you were looking at a cartoon's boobs, which can only be intentionally designed to titillate the audience.Paragon Fury said:Men are seemingly allowed to admire a woman's legs and hips as much as they want, but as soon as they move a little bit further north they become perverts or pigs.
That is awesomely quotable! I'm putting it in my list of quotes. You two now got a place in history...or something totally different and way smaller. Namely a text file. Whatever the case, you are allowed to feel pride for being there.Woodsey said:The internal struggle to look in vaguely the right region is both eternal and painful. Firstly, while making new friends is good, again, you make the assumption that this is what he wanted. Not liking a person or wanting to be friends with them isn't anti-social. Everyone does it at some point. You seem to assume the OP is some socially awkward guy who can't hold a conversation or make friends, which is the bit that concerns me. It might well be true, but it's kind of a harsh observation to make straight off the bat, especially when you don't have all the facts.Kendarik said:Unless you are just antisocial, talking to people and making new friends is good.Suicidejim said:This assumes, of course, that the gentleman in question wants anything to do with this woman in the first place, which isn't exactly a given.Kendarik said:The hardest thing in the world is opening a conversation with the opposite sex when you are young.Micalas said:Kendarik said:Yup, first rule to men. "lol, yeah, the cartoon women really are overdone, I wish they would draw them more realistically". Then actually talk to the girl...Eh? It's a discussion forum. We're discussing. I don't see the problem. I think things have been going rather smoothly.Mr Cwtchy said:Why would you want to converse with a girl who feels the need to lecture people she doesn't even know?

No, he went on a rant attacking her behavior when maybe his own life/social outlook prevented him from seeing the truth. I'm suspecting its something you might share.I mean, she's opened a conversation with a criticism, which, even if meant in a teasing way (which I'm admittedly finding quite doubtful), has obviously not come across that way for whatever reason. Offending someone is not really a good opening move in any social situation. Anyway, all this is rather besides the point. If he had wanted advice on getting a girl, or even just interacting with them, he would have asked for it. That's not what he asked however.
