meh, my parents were honest. I've always know what the world is like. So it's not that i never had a childhood, my childhood was just a little less magical. I think thats why i became a daydreamer.

You see it in every military basic training movie. The Drill Sargent says, "Your mamas are not here to take care of you anymore!"

Still, I got vaklempt when it was said to me and my flight.

We feel nostalgia for our child hood because of the holes in our memory.

As we age our earliest memories get fragmented in a way not unlike your hard drive.

We have pieces of broken code and our mind fills in the empty details. We then create an impossibly innocent and carefree image of our childhood. Over time this translates into a false sense of loss for something that never existed. Ironically this causes us to become more miserable as we age.

We visit doctors and receive prescriptions to calm us down but in the end the root cause remains and gets larger and larger. A shadow that looms over our solders constantly reminding of us of how useless we are.

Actually, very fe-, oh never mind, the thread would be derailed faster than a Loli can do something cute. Which is always. o_O

But, it is somewhat ironic because, legally speaking, I am still a child myself. So they act hypocritical. Oh joy to the human race for hating someone whom they have no understanding of. :p

So... yeah. :l
While I think it is ignorant of people to discriminate against you, it's not as if you really need to tell anyone about your fetish and most people are kinda' grossed out by it. You don't see Necrophiliacs or Bestalists fighting for recognition either, as to "indulge" in their fantasies would break the law anyway. If people didn't discriminate, all that would change is that you can mention your sexual preference to people and discuss Lolicon with other paedo's (no idea what the PC term is), which is hardly worth it.
(Not a fetish)

Well, if they are, let them be. I'm not going to force them to change their mind, even if they want to do that to me. The mind is the last haven one has.

Plus, yes actually, there are groups fighting for such recognition, but, I would be violating a rule and 4 of the unwritten rules if I linked.

Though, I would like to get the odds of me being killed by a random vigilante on the street to at least under 70%. And not be treated like complete trash. As it stands now, I don't feel safe. Ever.

Politically correct term is MAP. (Minor Attracted Persons)

EDIT:[sub] I suggest we either stop or talk about this elsewhere, we are intruding on this lovely thread. :p[/sub]

I saw porn for the first time when I was about 5. I've been nothing but a dirty old man on the inside ever since. I've been telling almost exclusively dirty jokes since I was about 8. At least, that's what my gf says. "You were denied your childhood." I told her that she was just sheltered. XD

I also had "The Talk" when I was caught watching said porn.

When my first dog died. I was 6, and my mum was about to walk me to school. She decided to take the dog with her.

The second we open the front door, the dog goes tearing after a squirrel or something then BAM!

I watch my dog explode under a 10-ton truck.

I wouldn't say there is any specific moment where I lost my innocence. Life is like one big rollercoaster. As a child you climb higher and higher with aspirations of what's going to happen next. Then you get to the top and realize the actual ride is a slow, mundane, and melancholy slope that leads to an inevitable end. Life in general sucks ass.

When I was four and I played Doom3...yep that's it.
If you played it when you were four, that would mean that right now, you are ten, at most.
OT: When I got into a fistfight with some dickbag in seventh grade.

When the Small Soldiers figures did not live up to their on-screen exploits.

It wasn't mind blowing, just a deep disappointment that reality doesn't live up to imagination.

Mine happened over time and I'm not sure what caused it.

Although this depression might be related to chemicals. Either way, once I get out into the working world and have nothing to worry about when it comes to the future, I doubt it will continue for long.

When I was eight. We had a cat planned for being put to sleep, and we had another cat that has been with the first one since birth. The second was was female, and was the runt of the litter and the first one, male, took care of her.

The male, Finn was to be put to sleep. The female, Derval, was not.

I woke up on the day Finn was supposed to be put to sleep and heard one of the two cats meowing at 4:00am, when I opened the bathroom door(they were sleeping there together while Finn was sick), I saw Derval dying. I watched both of my cats die on the same day.

Still the worst day of my life.

Edit: I had known these two cats since I was born.

My childhood was quite nice and I look back on it fondly. And right now I'm fond of my current status. So.... never

My childhood is still roughly intact. The thought of time travel and an infinite universe filled with untold species and technology keep my childlike interest and glee intact.

Uh... wow. Thanks for that uplifting speech.

You sort of made my day go down the drain with that one.

I think the day my childhood ended was the first time I watched Happy Tree Friends... I was horribly misled by the title.

It might've been when my first cat died; but following that, (some years(?) later) my childhood was transferred entirely to my SNES and N64.
