As a lot of people are saying maybe have a hero bonus with the MVP getting terminator armour for a short time. finally make sure there's lots of maps and modes, the tiny selection there is now is kinda boring.

Just in case the recurrent series of quotes wasn't enough, I'll spell it out for you.Karma168 said:melee fight
not to pick that apart >.> but, your not going to win against an Assault/Raptor, they are the melee specialists, its kinda they're whole point, like how the Devastator/Havoc are all about heavy weapons.Karma168 said:As for the multiplayer; the assault class needs a slight nerfing, i've never won a melee fight against an assault marine when i'm not 1 as well and since they can jump everywhere you get screwed quite easily.
No multiplayer and a better campaign that isn't cliche and poorly designed especially for a Warhammer 40,000 universe game.Sethran said:WARNING: May contain spoilers.
Ok, for those of you who have played and beaten the recently released Warhammer 40k: Space Marine, you have probably realized that the ending sets the game up for a sequel. And even if they didn't make a direct sequel, there will always be WAR. In the next game, what would you like to see added? What would you like to see removed?
Personally, I want Terminator Armor. I think it'd be fun to stomp around with an autocannon in one hand and a power glove on the other. Perhaps a Dreadnought mode could be added to Multiplayer, where one person plays a Space Marine/Chaos Dreadnought and everyone tries to bring them down, I.E. Juggernaught or Big Daddy modes as seen in Halo and Bioshock.
Dude seriously.. that was so jarring it took me straight out of the story. Even that codex quoting nitwit Leandros didn't as much lift an eyebrow when that fact was brought up.Slycne said:I just would have been nice to see something different for once or at least take the opportunity to introduce an unexpected twist.TheBlackKnight said:Isn't that the standard warhammer 40k plot though?Slycne said:A story line that isn't a retread of previous Dawn of War titles. I mean you could ask Dan Abnett to write the script, but... well those poor sidekicks...
for the potential sequel... well no eldar as opponents... other than that? Less linearity maybe and a slightly deeper combo system with different mêlée attacks and a block system...
I guess the Ultra-smurf haters are probably happy though, cause lord are they thick.
"We shouldn't trust the Inquisistion, but let's do what this guy says any ways."
"Boy, you sure are acting strange Inquisitor. Is everything ok?"
"Oh, what's that Inquisitor? You want us to fire a weapon with your warp powered device?"
"I don't see how this could possibly go wrong in any way..."
In the context of that event it made sence. A was dodge for the game so to not get hit a came up, the attack buttons where X and Y so they were the only ones used for attacks. If they had removed the buttons promps it would have been better, but a hell of a lot harder.TheKasp said:1: A longer campaign. Yeah to justify that action they either really needed to play up the gravity of the situation or make some inherent trust.winter2 said:Dude seriously.. that was so jarring it took me straight out of the story. Well it didn't fit with the Warhammer universe due to all the things that were skipped on, even the characters themselves didn't really fit that well. An entire forge world seems to have no real troop presence or infrastructure for troops which literally makes no sense whatsoever, and the whole thing about a power source that could be used as the "psychic scourge" barely fit into the laws of that world because desperate or not it is pure heresy to even TOUCH the warp without 50 different rites and special armor and training and ultra-indoctrination. Also, I hate to say this but... there was very little "For the Emperor" chants which you would think majorly indoctrinated Ultra Marines would chant often which mostly everyone else does in the Warhammer universe.Titan Buttons said:Can you elaborate on what you mean by poorly desgined?Delsana said:No multiplayer and a better campaign that isn't cliche and poorly designed especially for a Warhammer 40,000 universe game.Sethran said:WARNING: May contain spoilers.

Honestly all THQ had to do was model the Space Marines after Republic Commando, and add the warhammer elements and it would have been epic. The Heik said:You really seem to like damn near invulnerable characters, don't you?Sethran said:WARNING: May contain spoilers.

The Dreadnought Juggernaut isn't that bad of an idea (kind of like a reverse Last Stand from DoW2), as it'd be a nice change of pace from the standard shoot em up matches. The Terminator idea on the other hand should be single-player only, as it'd completely unbalance multiplayer by adding what is effectively a walking tank with the movement capabilities of a marine and the firepower of all three classes combined.
As for what I'd like to see for the next installment:
1: Bring in command abilities. You were a Captain for crying out loud, giving orders is par for the course! Besides, being able to actually use the 2.5 ton paperweights following you around would increase their value tenfold, as most of the time all they do is stand around randomly firing with the accuracy or a comatose earthworm or the occasional meat-shield duty when the enemy gets too close.
2: More visual customization in multiplayer. The starting stuff was good, but a few more armor sets (maybe allowing for chapter specific armor pieces to be mixed with the rest), a wider array of colours and colour locations choices (eg 3 colour options per piece) and possibly a "create-an-emblem" editor would be a great continuation of the trend set so far.
3: More Space Marine combats. Aside from one memorable moment, actual co-ordinated marines attacks were practically nonexistent (not counting the traitor-marines because they're plans got right stomped amiright boyz?). Seeing a few more Astartes actually fighting beside the player and all around his combat adds more of a comradic tone to it.
4: Grander scope. They've already done a great job with this so far with the massive set pieces/scenery and great range of depth, but like with the request for more Space Marines, seeing more weapons of war from each race would add to the feeling of size and grandeur that the WH40k universe exists in. Imagine seeing a Baneblade crest a hill on the battlefield, obliterating a massive horde of xenos with a mighty fusillade of ordinance, or a pair of Land Raiders slamming through a wall to disgorge terminators right at a desperate moment in your hold out, or even facing off against an entire ork horde in what amounts to that "you vs 1000 heartless" set piece in KH2 (except with more risk and a LOT more awesome). This stuff would increase the weight of every battle, make your actions feel like a part of something greater, your deeds all the more awesome because off the added edge of desperation. It'd be exactly what the entire franchise is all about.
Otherwise, the next game just needs the usual tweaking of mechanics that every game does.
Well I can honestly say I do NOT want to play as Abaddon. That armless failure can stay in the Warp for all I care.Project_Omega said:A 'PROPER' chaos plot, I mean who wouldnt like to play as Ahriman or Typhus or even Abaddon himself?Sethran said:WARNING: May contain spoilers.
