The more you are skilled using a weapon, the more accurate you will be in VATS. It also increases damage.

(For example with big guns at 100 and a fat man at 100% condition a mini-nuke will do 1610 damage.)
I was talking about out of VATS, though...

Has anybody taken a look on Moriarty's computer? Lotta messed up people in Megaton, especially Jericho.
I'm guessing most people nuked megaton.
I didn't, and I did take a look at his computer. I haven't found a way to act on his information though (perhaps you can't ;<) but yeah, it's pretty messed up.

No effect. (Expect for maybe I have seen when I have 100 in energy weapons my shot can sometimes curve and hit enemies.)

I'm playing my second character in this game (First one i got to Rivet City then stopped). Decided to be bad, and wow! I'm rolling in caps and chose some better perks and skill point distribution (Sml guns, repair, speech).

I wonder why i even chose to be a good guy the first time around. I had next to no caps, i couldn't repair for the life of me and i went melee weapons/sneak/lockpick. What a mistake that was. Melee weapons were pretty much useless because there's next to none of them and any beat up old gun is better than a melee weapon. Sneaking was a mistake because it just let's me get to my destination slower while gaining less xp, i guess i should've pickpocketed more.

Anyone else find this? Melee weapons sucking balls? No caps if you're good?

I was still rolling in caps when good. I had so many I practically didn't have to sell my gear so I had upwards of 500 for any bullet practically and 15 or so for any explosive. And 2-3 for each weapon and such.

Same. All of my characters didn't have any money problems. Sneak+melee weapons is pretty good. I didn't even put a lot of points in it and I knew already that the two were great together.

Also, I'm thinkin about making a big guns ghoul bigamist. Purify the ghouls in holy fire and bathe their human sympathizers in lead from my minigun.

I have another question for you guys: I have 35/50 achievements unlocked, and I can get 40/50 achievements with some effort, which is what I wanted from the beginning. However, this will take some time and may require me to complete that damned Nuka-Cola quest. My question is, is it worth it? I have to return the game in 5 days and I just want to know whether going the extra mile in this case is worth it.

Hey, I think I've discovered a major glitch with the Big Trouble in Big Town quest and I need some help. I rescued Red from the jail-place, and then mezzed her and put on a slave collar, since she was one of the special targets Eulogy wanted. She promptly ran away, and the quest said I had to go to the place in Paradise Falls where they kept the slaves, but I can't find her anywhere and I don't know how to complete the quest.
You shouldn't enslave some one while you're trying to rescue them.
She probably died en route to Paradise Falls. Oops?
Then the quest would have said so. Did you collect your reward? You may not be able to see her until you do. Also,w hy the hell wouldn't you go and return her to Big Town first? I mean, seriously. Common sense man.
I'm so sorry for not possessing the superhuman intellect necessary to comprehend the fact that she would just vanish into thin air as opposed to going back to Paradise Falls where I could talk to her and finish the quest. You think I wanted this to happen?

Nevertheless, I went back to an old save (thankfully I make new saves like it's going out of style) where I just unlocked Red's cage, led her back to Big Town, and got the achievement.

I already maxed out all my exp. points (I'm on level 20 already, and I'm not even halfway done) have you guys heard of a patch or something so that I can continue leveling up?. On the 360 that is :p.

It doesn't take massive prescience to understand the fact that if you are tasked to retrieve someone and escort them back to Big Town, then sending them to somewhere that is not Big Town will not count as success.

Ghoul bigamist? I mean I don't find them attractive enough to want one, let alone two...

And oh, I forgot: when I first got to Megaton I went to the water treatment facility and spoke to Walter, he asked me to fix the pipes but my repair skills where too low at the moment. Later in the game (a good 4 hrs. of gameplay later) I got the necesary repair skills to fix up the pipes but the thing is: Where the hell is Walter now?; I can't find him anywhere in Megaton. Do you guys know anything about this? Where the HELL is Walter? Sometimes when I go into the water treatment facility at night I bump in to that dude from the eatery but he doesn't say anything about Walter.

Sometimes Walter gets very depressed and jumps off a bridge and dies. Other residents of Megaton may do the same.

Nuking them is the best way to prevent this.

Yeah, I've noticed him missing too when I bring him back scrap metal to repair the plant with. I dunno where he is either, dude :/

Really? I would have thought that was easy enough series of events; save person, then enslave them, as she has to be in Big Town in order for the quest to be completed.

I just got to play the very first section this morning. Once I get home I'm going to take the G.O.A.T.

I was under the impression that I could find her there, talk to her, get a stern lecture, and then see the quest completed. But, like I said, I reloaded to a save where I just got Red out of town, led the meatshield to Big Town, and got the achievement.

Here's a tip: Don't worry too much about taking it the first time and getting results you don't like- you can have the teacher-person modify your test results so you get the results you like.
