Just so you know the slavers are almost as well equiped as SM's. That is super mutants.
Well, I took out all the SM's in the Big Trouble in Big Town quest with little trouble. And I've got a couple Stealth Boys, a pretty high Sneak rating... I'll pull a Rambo on they asses.
Be ready to die a few times at the gate. 6-7 slavers fire pretty much as soon as you enter if your hostile. >.>
Not if I'm invisible >:D

I've been considering going back to Paradise Falls (after I completed that side quest where you free the children) and oblitorate all those slavers (I can't stand those fucking slavers) I mean I am playing as a good character after all and I'm all the way up to level 20, so, what do I have to loose? Would you advise otherwise?
I had a go at wiping out the slaver camp at Paradise Falls at level 16, general tactic is, get yourself to the bar, lay a whole host of mines around the entrance to the bar area and then target anyone who is still in side the minefield area. Open fire and take out the guy closest to you and then let the bad guys come running and laugh as they get blown to bits by the mine field. All you have to do then is pick off anyone who is left, it worked very nicely.
I easily wiped out Paradise Falls at level 15. OK, I had Star Paladin Cross with me, but I think I'd have been able to do it myself if I'd wanted to.
I had her too, and she was hit with a missile launcher the very second she walked around the first corner. I took her Super Sledge and was very happy.

I kept Sydney alive so I don't get her Ultra SMG. But, I didn't use it anyway except to kill ferals, which the shotgun is more than equipped to do.

Something strange happened to me recently in Fallout 3. You know the regulators, the guys you give the fingers for good karma and money? Well I was heading in to hand a hefty number in but all of a sudden the lady I hand them to rushed out the door. I followed and the place was under attack by scorpians. I killed them but now the lady is gone, I can't find her and can't hand the fingers in -_-

You can get the SMG, it's just a bit fiddly. Do the Reilly's Rangers quest and pay attention to the surroundings.

I had that one time too. If she's dead, you can just use console commands to resurrect her, also there is a command to have her teleported to your location, so stand in the shack and try that.
I don't know the command from memory, but you can probably get them easily with a bit of googling.

As far as Sydney's SMG,
you can still get that if she survives, when you're doing the Reilly quest there is a holotape from her father somewhere. Give that to her and she'll give you the SMG.

There's something you can do to get it without killing her, requires some explanation though...

I'm playing a good character right now too and I definitely plan on wiping that patch of scum from the face of the Wasteland once I come across it. It should be fun >:D

Oh but I am soooo loaded; I got like 32 frag mines, 25 frag granades, 10 missles, 8 mini nukes, A plasma rifle (along with a laser weapons skill of 72 and a Tesla armor) a flamer with enough fuel to keep China running for 3 years. I just feel the NEED to go there and cause some serious havok, I really did not like those slavers (especially that lady that told me her father was a badass) and I have a very long fuse when dealing with unlikeable characters (I bared with the people at Tenpenny tower, finding a peaceful solution to the predicament, and that's a lot to say).

Question: While doing the "Waistland Guide" side quest (the part where you have to go to the Anchorage Memorial with all those Mirelurks roaming around) I was looking for that batch of eggs so that I can drop that observer in it, since the optional objective required me not to kill any Mirelurk I didn't even bother to draw my weapon (I just ran around and tried not to get hit) as I was going deeper more and more Mirelurks came at me, but, in the middle of all the running and the frenzy I noticed a very odd (and mean) looking creature (unfortunately I didn't get close enough to have a good look). That thing WAS NOT A MIRELURK, it looked humanoid, kind of reptilian, and it shot something blue from it's mouth; I didn't hear it make any sound; do any of you guys have an idea of what that is, and is there any benefit out of going back there and blowing it to kingdom come?

It's a Mirelurk King. There's no real particular benefit in going and nuking him back to the Black Lagoon, save for some "softshell Mirelurk meat" for resale (1lb, 30 caps IIRC) or eatin'.

Softshell mirelurk meat is tasty good eatings. Lots of HP for a few rads. I wish there was some kind of cooking item that could be used to turn various monster food items into regular food items for 30ish HP for five rads.

On the subject of irradiated food, how the hell does the food purifier thing that Moira gives you after the first segment of the Survival Guide quest work??? I've been lugging that around all this time with no clue. Do you have to put it down inside your house or something? Or does it just passively work (I don't seem to have noticed lower rad counts for food I'm carrying if that's the case)?

And also, about the bobbleheads: do you still get the bonus when you set one down in the holder thing in your house? I don't think you can pick them back up once you've put them in it, so I hope so.

On bobbleheads, yes, you still get the bonus. I am clueless about the food purifier though, maybe it just increases health gained?

This. You don't need to put it anywhere, it's a passive effect.
Its more useful as a paperweight. Or to feed a rock-it launcher. Woodchipper is awesome.

Yep, according to the wiki, it increases HP yield from food by 20%, but leaves the rad rating unchanged. Should have looked there first, I guess, but thanks all the same, guys.

You need to keep it equipped for it to have continued effect; when I cached mine before goin' fishin' (with miniguns... what, there's no fish&game laws in the Capitol Wasteland, are there?) I got a warning message on my HUD that it was no longer giving me a food benefit. Mind you, at that point I had something like 44 stimpacks to-hand and more purified water than I could carry so I wasn't worried.
