Capcom has done this for years and this is nothing new to them. They still do this with Street Fighter, but with more subtlety in the most recent installment. Not all the female characters are like that obviously. Most of the female outfits are conservative (by comparison). Plus, they're always be alternative outfits. DOA it's still way more provocative with their fan service.

Minor quibble about Hollow Knight: wish there was a way of toggling off the UI for taking pictures. It's so rare to get a clean screenshot of the game outside of cutscenes.
Something about this swagger causes much joy to see and inhabit.

Gonna be honest; I hated the mech sequences. Being an easy target, clunky controls and enemies too small to see properly do not fill my gonads with joy. I ended up just dashing past everything whenever possible.

The pope mech sequence was tricky since you had limited movement space and a lot of enemies with homing projectiles, but the other one was a lot of fun for me.
Smoke and Sacrifice: Very interesting and different art style but for something that looks like a kid's game, it sure is grim (appears her people sacrifice 1st born babies to their "sun branches" that keep them all from freezing and unable to grow crops. But in reality, the baby was transported to the under world, so mom goes looking for him as the trees are fritzing out.
