Sorry to sound like I'm discrediting your detailed account, but this thread has been rittled with realistic-sounding and believable stories that have been proven to be entirely false. Some with the intention of slandering someone else.

I said before that an actual confirmation of this event regarding LordKat and Noah was rather unlikely, but I'll ask for one anyway, or at least some public statements or any other proof that would back up your version.

Again, not trying to sound hostile, but there's far too much speculation and conjecture in this thread already to give something as detailed as this a free pass. You know how it is. We even needed to have Welshy confirm his identity before any of us took his claim seriously.

yea Spoony and Joe had a big interview with them this year and giggled about the whole thing, Lordkat wants to hold a grudge (if it indeed went down like he said it did and hes not just blaming Joe and Noah for no reason, because let's face it he is vindictive)

and speaking of E3's press requirements, they are having a website and talking about games, that is literally how lenient the requirement is. I honestly don't think Spoony wanted to go but he was kind of obligated by Channel Awesome to help legitimize Blistered Thumbs.

Just because those guys were cool with it doesn't mean every developer was. Blistered Thumbs is small time, and has(or at least had) a reputation for being very unprofessional. Spoony and Joe also didn't get very many interviews, they got let in a long with others when the developers were doing demos and asked questions of the PR/Staff there organizing the demo, which is pretty standard for E3.

Honestly though, Joe being the head of Blistered Thumbs at the time probably had a lot more to do with BT's horrible repuation, what with the going around asking to choke people on camera and his Spike TV interview with Geoff Keighley. E3 is a lot more press oriented and professional now then it used to be way back when though, so I suppose the yelling thing could've gotten BT's Faces a bit more attention it really didn't need at the time.

ok even if that is true this was to the best of my knowledge Spoony and Joe's first E3, they didn't know what to expect or really how to act, I know if it was my frist foray into the convention scene I'd be a giggling goofy gamer, i too may have done something not status quo. In fact I did at my first anime con i almost got kicked out for being a goofy otaku.

Its seems that Angry Joe has learned from his mistakes and has matured since then judging by his more recent E3 vids.

He didn't make a big deal about it back then aside from leaving ThatGuy and just telling people it was a business thing. Pretty sure pretty much noone knew this had happened. It's only until things blew-up that he started ranting on his live stream about all the bad blood between him and Spoony. Oh, Joe definitely seems to give a shit. I know he spends a fuckton of time on BT. I think back then, he took Cons a lot more relaxed and perhaps even as a little bit of a vacation before he went back to fuckton of work. Spoony... Spoony I don't think really cares. The way he attacked Deadliest Warrior and it's developers, the way he attacks fans, and how the way I've heard him talking about gaming journalism on LordKaT's stream before they've had issues..

And GDC, not E3. As for other producers denied interviews, no. Jason was only denied that interview to my knowledge. I only knew about the Notch thing before this because I asked at the Mojang booth. Those lower on the totem-pole having previously ran themselves ragged at cons and BT's reputation having caused them problems has always seemed like an open secret though. i haven't really followed BT for a few years, but from what i understand they've pulled themselves together since then though.

Those lower on the totem-pole having previously ran themselves ragged at cons and BT's reputation having caused them problems has always seemed like an open secret though. i haven't really followed BT for a few years, but from what i understand they've pulled themselves together since then though.

Your right I don't think Noah cares about that. I don't think he ever wanted to be an actual "in the field" journalist, he wanted to be a "reviewer" of random nerdy things someone who made videos for the yuks. I think Channel Awesome pushed the whole convention journalist down everyone's throat.

2007 (or whenever TGWTG started) no one was concerned with E3 or being a reporter really, then 2010 hits and almost the whole crew was going to e3. kind weird.
