Also yeah, Lups is right, however Spoony being a creep or not I still enjoyed most of his work and I'd rather he not kill himself. Plus two wrongs don't make a right, don't kick a guy when he's at the edge and all that.

Petty entertainment for me. I don't have any real connection to any of these people. I only know of them as characters, so this may as well just be another video.

I bet it's been great for their ad revenue.

I'm in it for the truth. I'm not getting any pleasure out of the fighting. It's like during the clusterscrew that was Extra Credits breaking off from the Escapist, I ended up figuring out most of what the heck was going on via a lot of research and head-desking.

I do admit that I get a kick out of finding the right answer, but not the journey there.

OT: This is horribly fun to watch, as I previously stated, but I'm not sure which side of the fence I fall upon. I know Spoony's been having some tough times, and it's been very clear to see, but he should have known where he made a mistake, and instead of fixing it then, apparently he just fueling the fire. I can't blame CA for this either, as they do have financial interests to secure, but I'm left wondering if there wasn't a better way to go about defusing the situation.

I think it was a wise decision, Spoony was a complete jerk to his fanbase for almost nothing. Hopefully one day he'll stop using twitter as a way to vent his personal frustration and go get some professional help.

And for the love of God stop whining about Scarlet. It was over a year ago, move on with your life.

Not to be rude or anything, but sometimes getting over it is not that simple. I was with a girl for 11 years and it took me about 3 to fully get over the feeling of betrayal that the break up caused within me. It did not help that my ex still thought she could control my life like she and telling me when proper grieving time passed. It also did not help that she already had another pony she was riding during our last year together. Her mom still has not forgiven her for that.

Considering how long Spoony and Scarlet were together, it may take a little time to get over that. What helps more than the medication is the counseling. He needs a professional that is emotionally detached from everyone involved. It helped me and others just like me.

Sorry to hear about how your ex acted but it wasn't the same case with Spoony and Scarlet. Scarlet even left twitter for a while to let all the e-drama calm down and said nothing to Spoony. While he insulted her constantly. I'm not saying you're wrong and I know it can take a while to get over someone, but constantly whining on twitter isn't helping.

Hi everyone. I'm a pretty big part of TGWTG community, and I will try to make some things more clear, as there seems to be some confusion.

1) Spoony was not let go from TGWTG for what he said to JO, nor Lupa. He was let go because of fan complaints on how he was acting during his suspension.

2) A lot of producers, both TGWTG and non-, have "neutrally" weighed in on the subject ie given how they see it without specifically picked sides. The general consensus amongst the "neutrals" is that they understand the decision by TGWTG, but hope that Spoony gets the help he needs and feels better.

3) LK is not part of TGWTG, he has not been for quite a while. Despite that, what he has said has not sat well with many producers and fans, as that is something you don't say to someone who clearly has some form of depression.

4) None of this is the fault of Lupa, JO, Nash, or any one person. This is a business decision. Don't point fingers. Don't be like the crazy fans (like the ones that are giving Lupa death threats) that can be akinned to members of 4chan.

Yeah, I have to agree fully with this... I've literally never looked up any videos on ThatGuyWithTheGlasses that weren't actually done by "ThatGuyWithTheGlasses"... and even then, I haven't visited the site in probably a year and a half. Spoony I've heard of because a lot of people have been linking some "Spoony BETRAYAL!" video whenever Bioware gets brought up, but aside from that, I don't know hardly anything about Internet video producers who aren't on The Escapist.

Spoony never has had a consistent schedule for his videos, he goes fucking crazy at the drop of a hat on twitter, and he's apparently incapable of responding to any input of any kind without coming off as an egotistical twat. What the fuck is with people blaming Lupa for this? The guy needs serious help. Well let's be fair...

Spoony didn't "start" this. Whatever remark he made, everyone agrees, happened a long while ago. Lupa dredged this up again for reasons as yet unknown and most likely extremely petty, so she gets blamed because that's a dick move. Especially considering that Spoony is, to put it bluntly, bath-salts-crazy half the time and God only knows what may or may not put him over the edge and make him go Mr Anime or whatever.

EVERYONE involved is being an asshole, but some assholes are bigger than others. And unless and until I hear otherwise, the one who pulled this out of the dark just to fuck with someone else and get them fired is the bigger asshole.

Frankly I'm no fan of Spoony but the evidence so far points to Lupa and possibly her friends at the top pulling some bullshit. And Lord Kat is just a bandwagon jumper. The irony is that from what I understand, Hope Chapman, the girl supposedly maligned by Spoony, has stayed out of it...so this was instigated BY Lupa for whatever reason, possibly the E3 debacle.

Erm....no. TGWTG.com, CA, and all associated parts (like Blistered Thumbs) are a business. Like all businesses, they have an image. Anything that can damage that image, is bad. Spoony was bad for the image of the site.

Well yeah but... I just don't like that idea. I like all those reviewers cause I see them rebelling against the mainstream and making their own money, being their own bosses persay.

Once a business starts using words like "What about our image?" like... ya know, it does not create endearment for me.

1) Spoony needs to seek a psyhciatric evaluation. Can be a good person/comic if he really tried enough.

2) LordKat needs to travel through all of the circles of hell in an infinite loop. Preferably with his face going down the crack of a demon's soiled ass just before he passes onto the next circle.

3) Lupa seems to be a manipulator and should be well avoided.

4) TGWTG is basically a group of people putting out YouTube videos, which, doesn't sound too impressive; but I watch LAGTV, so who am I to judge?

Somewhat off-topic: does anyone know what happened to that supposed redesign of TGWTG.com itself? Doug hyped in videos months ago, and in December they said it would be ready by spring. did they scrap it altogether or it just delayed? Their current site layout blows, and there are still a handful of contributors on there that I watch.
