By the time I had a complete, not mean't-to-be-awkward, here's everything you will need to know talk, I already knew where the babies come from.

But I'm surprised how many people didn't have "the talk."

I never had, "the talk". My elementary school had, "the movie", which was some guy coming in and talking about it in between short clips and slide-shows.
They made us watch cartoon bears doing it. I got mysteriously ill that week...

Never had but I work at a convenience store where we had a prominent display of the Swimsuit Issue of Sports Illustrated and an elderly woman became irrate because her grandchild saw it and they had to have a "Talk". She demanded we turn the covers around and on the back was a Green M&M ad with a similar posture.
I thought it was sad that someone would rather isolate a child than talk to them about the world they will have to live in.

I went to catholic school all they did was ***** about abstenance all the time and my family just put parental codes on everything until I found out the password for everything was 1234. so I never got the talk and never really need it seeing how I'm fat have extremly low self esteem and probably won't get laid until I'm 30 anyway...

However I have heard the "sex before marraige=VIP ticket to hell" speech directed at my boyfriend.
Lovely. Was this provoked by your presence?
My father saw my bofriend kiss the apparent whore is what I believed sparked the rant.

I had a sort of informal talk with my father. We were deer hunting and he started the whole, "Son, there comes a time when... well, you probably already know all this stuff. Any questions?"

I had a single question to pose to my father, "Does period blood still freak you out?"

My fathers reply, "Every fucking month."

That is also the only occasion I've heard my father say fuck. Anywho, that's it.

I was given a leaflet by my mum, I read the leaflet, was horrified by it and filled in the gaps with porn.

Also some stuff at school, did anyone else have to watch the "some of your bits aint nice" video?

I got a book rather than a talk. It was soooooo less awkward that way.

Im serious, it also doubled as cartoon child porn. Apparently my school is not the only one who showed that...

I was never given the talk, but a few of my friends have.
One of their mothers is asking her everytime after her boyfriend leaves if they had sex/wore protection/needs birthcontrol etc.
Pretty creepy.

When I had my first boyfriend, my dad told me he would feel no remorse in kicking me and my unborn child to the curb if I ever got pregnant.
But no, no actual talk. He's not too good at these things.

I was watching porn since age 10, and ever since then I have been building a steady knowledge.

Mum had it with me when I was 7, plus growing up in London you learn things if you don't know them.

I'm rather mature about sex and fetishes and all that, and I thank my mother for that.

Nowadays they're showing videos in health classes anyway and children are a million times more sexually enlightened then they used to be. The talk is fast becoming useless.
I wouldn't say enlightened, they just know what goes where, I don't know about you but my high school has quite a few mothers in it.

I learned it from one of the biology textbooks I was reading. This was back when I was six years old.

Yes, I was reading various scientific books for fun at age six. We couldn't afford things like computers or toys, but reading books in a library is free.

I never had it, nor did I ever need it. I'm an army brat so we were all swearing like sailors by the fourth grade and by middle school we were all making pretty fucked up genitalia/sex jokes.
