"The Talk"

I never got the talk. My mother knew by listening into my conversations with my friends that I understood all the physical details.
She did, however, try to explain the emotional stuff. Which I believe is the only part that really needs to be explained.
See, kids will know vaguely how it works. By the time a child is ten, he will most likely know that if you put your lad into someones ladyparts it will feel good, and if you don't put on a condom it will result in a baby.
What they don't understand is that you shouldn't really do it until you're emotionally mature enough to handle it.

Yeah, is that out of the ordinary? It's just the standard stuff over here.

We dont get it till 8th grade over in Holland, ofcourse it taught nothing but 'The condom goes AROUND the penis' but still, it was there

Same here when it comes to the education over here in Sweden. So without any realtips and advice, you (not you in particular) may mess up a bit. But as everybody I know have said, the first time is not what you expect.

My mom started it once, but never finished it. Turns out none of it was needed, as 14 years later, at the age of 24, I've never had any kind of relationship. By now, I've kinda figured it out, but none of it has ever been any use to me.

No, one of the older scouts from Boy Scouts just told me what girls had, what boys had, and what they do with them. He tolm me on my first trip to Kia Kima (Week Long to 2 week long Summer camp for scouts.) Then the internet SHOWED me it. Ahhh the wonders of free porn.

According to my parents I asked a lot of questions when I was very young. Rather than answering every one as it came along they gave me a book called It's Perfectly Normal which discussed puberty, sex and pregnancy in a great deal of detail with the help of a cartoon bird and bee. I don't remember ever being sat down and told about it but I do remember my mother telling me if I ever needed birth control she would help me get it.

I learned when I was about 5-7. My parents had this book from God-knows-where that explained every facet of human biology in amusing cartoonish detail. In the sex and reproduction part, it had cartoony pictures of a naked boy and a naked girl, with their sex organs visible through their skin. Then on the next page it had a train-car with a cross-section of a penis attatched(all cartoon) going into a train-car with a vagina-like thing... Plus my mother was a natal-care nurse, so I got some stuff from her, too.

I wonder what happened to that book...

They taught me sex-ed in 1st grade. My parents saw my notebook and got pale, followed by saying "Well, now, thats f*** up..."
I was perpetually disturbed, and I have sworn to be not be like most people *cough* from that moment on.
