People need to stop bashing Nickelback so much. They're not that bad.

They've got a "generic" sound, sure, but they're good at what they do. They've got a handful of good stuff (Everybody likes "Hero"...), and they're certainly not one of the worst bands ever.

I've never liked System of a Down (They've got an awful "Singer", and their stuff is really ragged and annoying), but other than that, I tend to stay away from bad bands.

I'll give that one to you, although it wasn't "wannabe heavy metal" because that album is NOT heavy. Indeed they should have stuck with old school stuff; it's a good thing they got their act together for Death Magnetic.

I don't understand the hate for Linkin Park. All their new stuff is garbage, that I agree with. Hybrid Theory and Meteora are the only two albums I still listen to since their release.

That said; I'm surprised no one mentioned Rise Against.

Anyone calling System of A Down generic should put a shotgun to their head, because the lack of intelligence whould be so dire that it could't hurt to shoot themself.

Let me clarify, System of a Down and Avenged Sevenfold would be A LOT better if their singers would shut up, they have no talent.

Listen to SOAD. Listen to them. I mean, really listen. Lay down, close your eyes and listen. Analyze the lyrics, the singer's technique. Then, grab a bucket and puke into it.

I haven't listened to SOAD songs in a very long time, I want to make that clear, and I don't consider myself much of a fan anymore. BUT I want to say that Serj Tankian is renown for his vocal prowess which I also admire. Most of SOAD's lyrics were written by Daron Malakian and even if they seem strange, cryptic and borderline goofy at some points they are nevertheless (in my opinion)100% AWESOME. The lyrics in Serj Tankian's album "Elect the Dead" are pretty straightforward compared to most SOAD songs. Still I believe easily understandable lyrics are not something to judge by. Every song will start making sense if you are willing to make your mind do some work.

A quote from their song "Violent Pornography": It's a nonstop disco, I betcha it's Nabisco.

That is just horrible on so many levels...

Sunn O))) is the worst band I've ever heard. Hard to call it music. It's just a single note played during half an hour, with a 30 seconds pause between each one.

This Milli Vanilli thinbg always bothered me for one thing: why, in the name of GOD the people who actually sang the songs didn't want to come up and sing themselves? Were they horribly disfigured or what? I mean, there are so many ugly people that sing and are famous because their songs are good. And, I think the songs by MV are good and kinda catchy (shut up, they are).

Now that I think of it, I've never seen any photos of the 'real' people behind Milli Vanilli. Who are they anyway? I saw their names like, once, but never actually saw their faces D=
