This is why I keep Blue and Red. Call me a purist but they all got too "cute" and not frightening. Instead of awesomeness you get a lizardduck, pigbunny, and kittyseal.
I actually really like the fire/grass ones. The water one is iffy, but I'm willing to wait and see what it turns into. I maintain that people who claim Pokemon are getting worse looking are simply too nostalgic. There are good and bad designs in all of them. the first two gens were the most plain and uninspired of them all, really. The starters for 4th gen in particular were great, especially when they evolved. Empoleon and Torterra were simply badass.
Oh, and I saw those Farfetch'd and Delibrid evos posted in here. Just fyi, FAKE. The battle screen is wrong. I will admit they're awesome though.

Nobody is making yo play it misery guts. If the 1st gen was your favourite then stick with Fire red and Leaf green. Frankly I'm amazed at the amount of people who seem to be missing the point of Pokemon entirely "You got to catch em all" the whole point is that it can't be done - there are always more to discover. Pokemon is inspired by bug catching of which there are countless species with new ones evolving all the time ? ever heard the expression about the hunt being better than the capture or the journey being more important than the destination or words to that effect?Haseo21 said:

For me it makes sense that the further you travel from the original region the pokemon get stranger and more exotic, we've had so many cat/dog/dinosaur Pokemon I thinks its good they are thinking outside of the box. In the end what you like the look of is your own opinion, Pokemon aren't changing (if anything the games themselves are getting much better) the audience is what is different.
