'I could care less' AAAAAARGH!
http://www.youtube.com/user/davidmitchellsoapbox?v=Q3DSSuOVpBI&feature=pyv&ad=6778299737&kw=david%20mitchell#p/u/28/om7O0MFkmpw David Mitchell explains it well here (sorry if it's already been posted.)

Also, I like indie music and don't really enjoy anything in the charts (not because it's in the charts, because it's generally all crap.)

'OMG you're such a hipster!' No, I'm not a hipster, I just like a lot of bands who happen to not be famous. If the indie bands I like were selling out arenas and Lady Gaga, Katy Perry etc. were selling only a few thousand records and were completely unknown my opinions wouldn't be any different.

How could I forget the most annoying of them all...I'm a massive wrestling fan. As soon as anyone finds out, without fail...'You know it's fake right?'

Of course I do! I enjoy wrestling, it entertains me.

Any homophobic, sexist, racist, or discriminating thing. That and using gay to mean stupid, pisses me the fuck off.

People from England are British, in the same way people from New York are American.
New York is it's own country?

There's too many things that people say that piss me off, I'll just explode with a furious linguistic rage if I try and list them.

People who think saying things about someone's religion or nationality is racist.

Jew, Muslim, Christian, Russian, Chinese etc. None of those are races.
Yep, I'll roll with that one. This is one of the things that really grinds my gears.

Well I'm black yet I was born in a Fairly white community. So people tend to say I dont sound like I'm black.....This is probably the most frustrating thing people say to me. I can't really explain how much this makes me angry, but it's probably the thing people say that pisses me off the most.

When people say "I could care less" despite the most basic of logic dictating it should be "couldn't" I feel very inclined to smack them.
What's worse is when you correct them on it and they state "I could care less".
Pretty sure you guys are missing something here but I'm not going to go into what. I guess you might've already been quoted by someone else but I want to make sure.

OT: Logically fallacious arguments are pretty lame but they're the things that mostly get used so there's that as well... (In response to someone's post: I like ellipses)

I'm from County Durham, England but my nationality is British. With a global scope giving your nationality makes the most sense.

Hearing teenagers wandering around saying "awkwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaard" in that really annoying way that they've copied from whichever braindead canned-laughter-fest they've been watching.

First off, learn what awkward means; you never, ever use it correctly.

Secondly, speak like a normal human being.

I hate it when people talk about what things people say to them that are annoying, and I REALLY hate it when they make a thread about it.

Well done, you came onto this thread to tell everyone how much you didn't like this thread...

Why bother?

This has definitely been mentioned already, but every time someone says "irregardless" I want to smack them with my ring hand. Things like "could of" are totally understandable, but irregardless makes no fucking sense.

Bar none, one of the most annoying, stupid, retarded, things someone can say to piss anyone off is by uttering one word, "Whatever".

of me saying it.

I don't understand this as being racist. If a zombie game takes place in africa, it stands to reason that most of the zombies will be african.

Oh let's see. When people use text language in everyday life, or even on the damn computer or in a text. I can't stand it whenever it's present.

Also, the word "cookie(s)" the phonetics of it are so annoying. The phrase "fish and chips" or literally anything anybody in congress says (Barrack had the right idea walking out of that one meeting, if it were me, I would have thrown a chair at Eric Canter)

The word "guesstimate" or when people say "I could care less" instead of "I couldn't care less" (the latter is the correct version)

When Americans say "The Ground Zero Mosque" ... it's not a mosque, it has rooms for every damn religion and is mostly set to function in the same manner as the YMCA.

People that say "fitty cent" instead of "fifty cents"

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. I may have gone a little overboard...oops :|

I dislike going off topic, but what's this in relation to?

I'm not really in tune with American political occurrences.

When I meet Americans on xbox live and they keep insisting that I am British, I say that I am English and that Britain is a group of countries so therefore if I was British then I would be living in all of those countries at the same time that is impossible but then they start calling me a ****** and that I should go back to my tea.
well, i am British, and I'm English, i am also European, Human, a Species that inhabits Eath, a species that inhabits a planet in the Milky way, and so on, we are English, and we are British, but the problem is that the Americans assume that British = English, which it does not, as it includes England, Scotland, Wales N. Ireland(not RoI), and the small islands off the coast of those Countries.

anyway, they are homophobes anyway, and this is a rare thing for a straight person to say: i hate people who insult someone by calling them gay.

oh, and, I HATE TEA

People that say "fitty cent" instead of "fifty cents" blame American Accents...
