I know what you mean. One time my mom got home from work early and I was still up (she works nights). I didn't know it was her so when I heard a noise downstairs I when to check it out. Then as I was about to turn a corner I saw a shadow. I got ready to kick some ass and then she walked into sight. I almost punched her in the face... that would have gotten me in big trouble.

Well, okay. It didn't actually scare me as a kid and doesn't scare me now, but it seriously is one fucked up, scary, disturbing-imagery-filled movie.

Same thing happened with my friend. He was trying to scare me on purpose and well, he got a good taste of my elbow when I turned and around. I try to warn him earlier but he didn't listen.

Cicadas, but only recently. One hitting you dead on in the face and then clinging to your arm will freak you out. Especially when it's bigger than the palm of your hand.
And puppets/marionettes. And spiders. Sometimes heights.
Oh, and being alone. Sometimes I fear that I'll walk outside, alone in the world, with nothing there except the empty houses and plants. No noise, no company, nothing except watching myself waste away. I'm also claustrophobic to an extent. Normally I'm fine (like I can go in MRI machines, usually), but when I freak out...I FREAK out.

Why? You remember nothing, you will never form new memories ever again, and your brain creates memories that never happened, leaving you extremely confused and disorientated for the REST OF YOUR LIFE, existing in lucid intervals which you will not remember in the next lucid interval. Every moment of every day you will be in a place you do not remember, you will recognize people you've never met before from things that never happened, you won't be able to recall anything that happened more than ten minutes ago, and that's how you'll live your entire life from then on.

My sister once flipped one of her friends over her back at a fair. She was talking, someone messing around tried to give her a hug from behind, and she just through him into the center of the circle. I haven't tried to sneak up on her since I saw that, and neither has anyone else.
