is the creator of this film so uncreative and so... bad, that he would seriously think that this film was in any way a good idea? this is just horrible. i liked the James Cameron movie and i felt he captured the story of the Titanic while still being able to tell his own little story about the two young lovers on the ship. but this just looks so bad i think i might die a little on the inside if i find out this movie makes any money at all, knowing that my fellow man is so stupid that he would see such a film.

Titanic 2 Looks So Bad It's ... Terrible

A new straight-to-DVD disaster film about the Titanic 2 looks like it might be so bad that it'll steam right past "funny" and crash into "suck."

Bad movies ? if they're done right ? often have a certain charm that makes them a blast to watch and make fun of. Some flicks, however, look so stupid, so cheesy, and so bad that they just can't be saved by any amount of booze or mockery. Presented for your entertainment, I give you the trailer for <a href=http://www.amazon.com/Titanic-II-Bruce-Davison/dp/B003JQZXWW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1280856042&sr=8-1>Titanic 2.

This isn't a sequel to James Cameron's celebrated blockbuster. Instead, it's a movie about a boat named the Titanic 2 that's built to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the original Titanic's ill-fated voyage. The new boat sets out on the same route as its predecessor and (spoiler alert) an iceberg floats into its path.

As you can tell from the trailer, the crew isn't exactly successful at preventing the boat from sinking. Accordingly, the star power of Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio has been replaced by Brooke Burns (of Baywatch fame) as well as Bruce Davison and Shane Van Dyke. It should be noted, though, that at least a little money was spent on trying to make the ocean liner look convincingly classy since the <a href=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RMS_Queen_Mary>Queen Mary was used as a stand-in for the ship itself.

The film is being put out by The Asylum, a film distributor known for producing "<a href=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mockbuster>mockbusters" like <a href=http://www.amazon.com/I-Am-Omega-Mark-Dacascos/dp/B000VLLYGC/ref=sr_1_1?s=dvd&ie=UTF8&qid=1280856061&sr=1-1>I Am Omega, <a href=http://www.amazon.com/Paranormal-Entity-Erin-Marie-Hogan/dp/B002WSB5RU/ref=sr_1_1?s=dvd&ie=UTF8&qid=1280856158&sr=1-1>Paranormal Entity, and <a href=http://www.amazon.com/Snakes-Train-Alby-Castro/dp/B000OYC77G/ref=sr_1_1?s=dvd&ie=UTF8&qid=1280856192&sr=1-1>Snakes on a Train. Titanic 2 is due out on DVD later this month, and I promise that I won't be offended when one of you buys this and then sends me a follow-up email telling me about how it's all my fault.

Um, yeah, because no ship these days is required to have as many spaces on lifeboats as there are passengers and crew... or modern fire suppression systems...or double hulls... Oh, wait...

Why not call it "A bunch of rich, smug. entitled douches decide to re-create the Titanic voyage and get slapped by the hand of fate/irony?"

I got annoyed just seeing the funnels were red and then magically changed colour to yellow.

Would I be being rather cocky as to estimate how the plot in this movie will turn out? :p

I seriously want to watch this. And Snakes on a train.
Don't do it!!!

Movies that are so bad they're good are actually pretty hard to do. I've seen some Asylum films hoping for buried treasure: low budget saved by raw creativity. It didn't happen.

Get "Bubba Hotep" instead.

Isn't it illegal to do that? If it isn't, it certainly should be.
Once I take over the world with ninja hamsters, ill be sure to make that punishable by death... from bambo impalment.
Ouch. Will it be a public display?

*Watches video*
Please make it public! I'll even help!
It would have to be, so as to act as a deterrent. Also, for pedophilia, the impalment would be done in the same fashion as Vlad the Impaler did it.
So long as it's painful. These people need to suffer dammit!
Yoou lubricate the blunt end then shove it up their ass.

Classy; cashing in on one of the worst tradgedies of the 20th century as a shitty knockoff movie. Also, cashing in on 2012 much? April 14th 1912 was the day the titantic crashed.

Of course it sinks, naming a ship Titanic is just asking for trouble. I really cannot put into words how stupid that movie looks.

Bwuh?

Great. JUST great. I mean, I kind of get the premise, having an honorary voyage in honor of the Titanic, but it crashing into an iceberg? why not something else, like, say, Somali pirates attacking the ship, or them going south and entering the Bermuda Triangle. The second one is one I WOULD watch.

I was so sure this was a joke until I saw it's file on imdb. Even now, my brain is trying to convince me this movie will not be made, in order to keep me sane.

Yes it should be a crime. Just goes to show how insensitive these Hollywood tools are. It's all about money and the sad part is people will go watch it.

Wha.. why? Why would they do that? Why would they build a ship and call it Titanic, and why, for the love of God, would you make a movie about its obvious impending failure. Say no to bad sequels.

Porn actors need something to do when there are no projects going, right?

I suspect it's how 'The Room' was cast.

*blinks a whole bunch*

O....K.....

A movie about a boat that never existed but based on the boat that did exist, emulating the same attitudes of the historical event, leading to identical outcomes of said event, by...

Not even going to bother. This is a failed attempt at getting lightning to strike the same event in history twice. An event, I would add, that wasn't worth 'honoring,' much less celebrating. Adding a numeral after something and rehashing it in a crude and haphazard manner should not get the funding necessary to see this movie into production.
