Fire had left the troop in the night. He did not work in groups and would rather get his job done by himself.

He rode his horse cross country, planning on getting to the next village before killion. He ordered his hawk to follow the troop and keep tabs on those he didn't trust, especially swift and Gems (sorry but I can't remember your names). When he reached the town fire hid his horse on the blind side of a building and using his ability of disguise dresed as a beggar. Hidding in plain sight infront of the tavern will tell him the actions of his fellow troll slayers.

His current mission was to learn who is working with. Allies are helpful but he needed to know that if he could trust them then his primary mission will be easier. If he couldn't trust them then a knife in the back would be the only solution.

He kept watch of the tavern from across the street. Asking for coins from the people who passed. He noticed that most of the troop entered the tavern but at differant times. Had the troop disbanded? Or where they trying to hide from him? Either way Fire had to find out....

Although an archer, Ishtul still had a few hand to hand techniques his Master had taught him. Unfortunately, he didn't see how these would help him at the moment. Held on the ground, with a knife touching the back of his neck, Ishtul wasn't sure how he was going to get out of this mess. How could he have been so careless as to get caught like this?

Suddenly, while being interrogated by the man who had burst into his room, Ishtul noticed that the man's submission hold was sloppy, a good shove at the right spot would give Ishtul the upper hand.

Luckily, his arrow earlier had at least done some damage, if not enough to produce a lethal effect. The pain in his shoulder seemed to weaken the man's arm, which was good enough for what he had in mind. A quick roll and shove had the desired effect, the man was thrown off balance, giving Ishtul just enough time to leap to his feet.

Knowing that there was no way he could outrun the man by going down the stairs, Ishtul was left with only one other option: the window. He could only hope that luck was on his side as he ran, jumped, and smashed through the glass.

As luck would have it, someone happened to have planted a tree right next to the room where he had been sleeping. Grabbing a branch on his way down, he managed to slow his descent enough to survive the fall from the fifth story window.

Unfortunately, his arm wasn't as lucky. Falling awkwardly from grabbing the branch, Ishtul managed to land right on his elbow. He heard the snap before he felt the pain. This was no time to be distracted by a simple broken bone however, he knew the man would likely be right on his tail soon, and he would need to leave town. He ran out of the village, following the road to Trollslottet, holding one arm with the other, and looking over his shoulder all the while.

(OOC: I did, but there were few places were I could jump in; you don't see a priest in a bar brawl. Investigating strange travelers in stranger places, however.. well, if that doesn't work, I'll find the appropriate place to step in)

Fire, suprised by a man falling from a tree jumped back into a guard. "Damn" he muttered. He thought he remembered that face but he couldn't give chase, It would compromise his disguise and due to his beggar blanket he had rapped around his back stopped him from running at his normal pace.

He turned to the guard and asked for a coin but was pushed aside with a grunt. He followed the guard into the tavern but took no notice of the ale and women but instead hurried to the room that the man had jumped from...

I'm "Grimjaws" Gallagher, the Wood Elf Druid. I went mad and ran away from the group, and was involved in a lengthy dream sequence involving the pale beauty from my introduction amongst other things. I'm currently trying to locate Swift and Mighty by using the Skymirror to scry for them.

Mighty was whisked away to the foothills of the spine of the world, and is heading towards the coast.

Swift and Ishtul (RT) are locked in a duel. Swift is also convinced that I'm evil, due to my disappearing before Ishtul's ambush attack. Ishtul is serving some dark power, intent on finding me.

Killion is travelling towards Luskan (I think), and Darth Mobius is pissing around there, enjoying the tavern wenches that come with a bustling port, or something. We're not sure.

Kog-guy (sorry about your name! Really...) is wavering around, but he hasn't been here in a while, so we need updates.

Basically everyone is around the inn, except for Might, I, John Galt's guy, and Gremlin.

I'd suggest catching up on the thread yourself, though.

That's spoilers-erised for anyone who wants to get the story in their own time.

Rev, the Skymirror is sort of a crystal ball/walkie talkie for Druids. You shouldn't have been able to just wander over there. Ishult should be able to find me by following my wolf tracks.

You could start, perhaps, by being sent on a mission to retrieve scrimshaw from Icewind Dale for a new sculpture for the Order of Lathander, or something. As we've said, there's no reason for everyone to exist in the context of someone else.

Fire walked into the room and saw that swift sleeping on the bed. He smiled to himself, realising a good chance to know about this man he kneled next to the bed and kept a knife at his neck. He let him sleep for a few more minutes before he would question his new 'friend"

Walking along the road out of town, Ishtul turns slightly as he hears a low whistle coming from behind him. As he looks around to find out what is causing it, he is just in time to see the arrow about to hit him. The slight turn ends up being just enough to keep the arrow from lodging in his left leg, though it still clips it, cutting almost to the bone.

Gasping, Ishtul collapses to the ground, clutching his leg in pain. He quickly realizes, however, that if he continues lying there, the man from the inn will hit a lot more than his leg, and manages to slowly drag himself to his feet. While immensely painful, the wound doesn't stop Ishtul from being able to walk, and he slowly limps his way out of town, hoping the man won't be able to follow him immediately.

He manages to at least clear the village gates, and get a few hundred yards from the town, before he falls to the ground, greatly in need of a rest. Lying on the dirt, blood oozing from his broken arm and injured leg, Ishtul stares at the ground, wondering how his night could have gone so wrong.

As he lay there, staring at the ground, he noticed something odd. Not registering it at first due to the pain, he slowly realized what he was looking at. It appeared to be a set of footprints... no... pawprints! Two of them, in fact. They seemed oddly familiar, though for the life of him he could not place it.

Then, just as he was losing conciousness, he remembered. The dream! Suddenly more alert, he studied the pawprints more closely, sure enough, one was large and canine, and the other small and light. Could it be? Was his dream a prophecy of what would happen later that day?

All of a sudden, Ishtul didn't care that he was suffering two brutal injuries, was weaponless, and could barely walk. He finally knew where he was going, and had a purpose again: to find that damned wolf, and kill him once and for all.

Slowly pulling himself off the ground, Ishtul managed to stagger to his feet. With renewed vigor, he slowly hobbled down the path, in pursuit of his prey once more.

Fire slowly blew on the sleeping mans face as a gentle waking will take him by suprise. As he did so his nose caught the stench of ale and vomit. This was not one of the troll slayers still prehaps he could tell him something about the man who feel out of the windom.

The drunk made a snort, clearly in a deep sleep. Slowly Fire tiptoed from behind the bed to the side and placed his hand on the mans mouth. He made a quick cut to the mans arm. he awoke with a start, trying to scream he bit Fire's hand. Finding it amusing that this fool would try and bite through leather he brought the knife to the mans throat with a chuckle.

"Who are you and why did that man jump from the window earlier". The man tried to scream into Fire's hand and the knife was pushed closer into the mans neck.
"I will ask you again, who are you and why did that man jump out the window". This time the man who reaked of ale whimpered into Fire's hand and a smell of urine wafted through the room. Realising that the waste of life on the bed was affraid of him he took his hand from the mans mouth and listend to his tale.

5 minutes later Fire walked from the room into the hall and starred at the door of swifts room. He knew that his companion was behind it but he could not risk entering. Swift was a cunning bastard, fire would have to pay more attention to that one. He cast a quick glance at the corpse of Osgood and closed the door. He paid for a room and started recording this days event's.

OCC: ok stop, we all need to be clear on where we are. At the end of each post say where you are. I'm having trouble knowing where I can jump in. If GEMS or somebody could just summarize what's going on, that would be great.

Happy middle ground.

Essentially, the only limiting factor is that fact that we're in Forgotten Realms. This means it's 13th/14th century-esque Sword and Sorcery affair.

We're utilising the D&D classes as guiding points for what sort of character we have.

I say, for the time being, we need to ignore Darth Mobius. He seems to be slightly confused. I don't believe that Al was actually anywhere near Luskan, but instead a village in the foothills of the spine of the world. Luskan is, as far as I know, a temperate place, so it woul;dn't make any sense for Al to be in a frozen wasteland that's also Luskan.

I'm not trying to be mean, Msr Mobius, it's just that you're not really playing along very well. I'm only too glad to help out, though.

OOC Damn it Swift you've made me change what i did. Oh well.

Fire was walking in the shadows towards his horse when he out of the corner of his eye a hurrying beggar was shot. he had little time to believe his luck, as not 5 minutes ago he was dressed as a beggar.

He watched a figure fall from the window of the hotel and chase after the beggar. He had two choices, chase the figure and learn more or flee and get information to his masters. He knew the masters could wait for him, after all the fat pigs slept most of the day.

Quickly he watched the sly figure chase the beggar through the city streets (sorry to take control of you here but I kinda have to). When the figure nearly got the cowering beggar Fire stood screamed out "In the name of the Inquisition and the holy order freeze or I'll shot" as he pulled a pistol crossbow up to the figures head.
Incorrect, you don't "kind of have to" take control of people. This messes up the plot. Essentially, it's your job to change your actions, as everyone else does. Else the entire things just stops being a roleplay experience, and more of a Stephen King experience (if you know what I mean).

OOC: I'm going to try to fix my mistake.

Fire saw a running figure striken by an arrow. He glanced up at the window, the bolt had come from. It was on the same level as the corpse of the drunk. The same level as swift.

Quickly he ran back into the tavern to find the man who shot the arrow and get some answers. As he ran up to the room he found guards searching the room, looking confused at what they had found.....or a lack of what they had found.

Suddenly realising that He had returned to the scene of a crime he had committed Fire started walking down the hall and then running from the tavern through back streets.

Now, what in the hells just happened? thought Killion as I watched the scene unfold from the street level, having just packed. Seeing Swift and a man I didn't know run away from the inn, I attempted to follow. But they didn't go the same way, so I followed Swift, grabbbing an extra horse out of the stable for him before I left. Was Swift chasing someone? Or being chased? That arrow seemed to come out the same window Swift jumped from. Guess I should help first, ask questions later.

Fire fled passed a man he recognised as the one who led him to this village. He saw him collecting things from the tavern during his begger surveilance.

hH didn't pay this man any heed. He reached his horse and rode like a storm out of the city.

Koga slowly woke up from his drunken stupor. Had he really imagined the funny foreigner with the weapon made of pure-light? Looking around the inn, he realized he did not recognize anyone or a single adventuring party. Muttering curses to himself, he exited the inn and walked, right into the path of an incoming horse...

...only to be pulled back by a bystander in the nick of time.

"Woah, Jesha, back." I guess my first reaction to almost trampling someone will always be to blame the horse. It's happened a few times. "Sorry about that , but I gotta go. Swift! Wait up!"

*Sets off at a trot in Swift's direction.*
