No, why would I want to see this? There's clearly no storyline and why would I want to watch porn for (presumably this is feature length) over an hour in a crowded place?

Frankly this seems to presume men are all fairly bestial creatures who only like things which involve sex or violence (heaven forbid there should be anything complex which our poorly little brains can't handle!) and shows only a vague sexist's understanding of men. I appreciate that this isn't meant to be serious and I'm not trying to make a big deal here, but seriously, how would you feel if I posted a thread with "KITCHENS AND HOUSEWORK: A woman's version of David Gemmell novels!"?
::laughs.:: It was meant as a joke. And I read David Gemmell, and happen to be female, so...

Why would guys want to watch two lesbians go through a romantic story?

1, They're lesbians... complety not into guys... so there's no point.

2, it'll still be shit.

3, they're not properly topless!

No way, there is way too much talking and not enough explosions.

Anyway, us guys have got our own version of chick flicks already like Twilight and Pretty Woman, its called Black Hawk Down, its a chick flick but for dudes.

LIES! You shall be SMITTEN!

...Hey, so I have a thing for the spunky punk look. So sue me...we've all got our little hangups.
Honestly? It's the dress and the makeup that completely kills it. Any other day of the week that woman would be attractive, but the waistline of that dress makes her look pregnant and the makeup makes her look sickly and tired. It's a great testament to the aesthetic failures of this series.

Er, no. Mostly because I honestly think that chick who plays the short-haired vampire in the actual films is much hotter than anyone in that clip.

[sub]...What? My ex made me go see the first movie...it wasn't my fault, dammit![/sub]
Damn THEE !! You made me actually google twilight and look at the cast, and she's not even that hot to me!
I got the impression that she was supposed to be more cute than hot. You should see her outside of her Alice costume. Watch the Sobe commercials, then see what you think. Actually, for these creatures that are supposed to be super-hot, the actors look way better than the characters. Especially Rosalle, who's supposed to be just shy of a greek goddess. Nikki Reed is very beautiful, but in character, it looks like she's wearing a bad Marylin Monroe costume. Alice is the only one that fit well.

Yes I'm a fan of the books. Not so much the movies though. It seems like it was less about casting someone that could play the part well, and more who would make tween girls scream the loudest.

The book bored me,I actually tried reading it before the hype, when alot of girls in my class were bringing them at school. The writing was as shallow to me as I hear the movie is.

And I'm sure she looks great out of character

And I really want someone to make a Twilight game, just so Zero Punctuation can review it. LOL! I know the game would suck, but I always laugh so hard at his reviews, I'm sure I'd die laughing at that one. (Ah, the puns just write themselves. :) )

No problem. I kinda thought it would be a good antidote to all the *other* Twilight threads.
Let me add this
Personally I'd go see that one before the other one.....I posted that on my facebook yesterday or the other day.....

It's sad he's dead. I want more Gemmell.

I understand it's meant to be a joke (and that I come off as an ardent pro-equality-to-the-extreme-that-no-one-can-say-anything-that-might-offend-me sort of person) and I'm not really offended, I just find this particular image of men as slobbering sex-crazed idiots particularly annoying. Largely because a lot of girls (and guys too, but guys don't harass me) make invalid presumptions about me on the basis of this moronic stereotype to the degree that one who wouldn't stop stalking me for several months declared "You must want to have sex with me, you're a guy!"

Men already have a twilight, we just don't brag about it, we're rightfully ashamed of it, for example what I'd call my "Twilight" books would be John Ringo's wonderful male fantasy, the Kildar series, dude gets a castle, a harem, a personal army, and the US president on speed dial....

It's trashy, it's fun, it's basically brain porn, but I don't pretend it's anything else, I don't call it a literary masterpiece or dedicate fan-sites too it, if Twilight fans were rightly ashamed of that dreck they read I'd be okay with it.

Where's the guilt gone?
