Simple reply: http://hellokinsella.posterous.com/the-daily-mail-list-of-things-that-give-you-c
It's the Mail, that's all anyone needs to know. Look at the stupidity.

In other news, British tabloid still not worth wiping own ass with.

Seriously, Escapist. Can we please stop acknowledging this shit? They're like PETA in that they won't go away if we keep paying attention to it. Best we can do is ignore it. That probably won't stop others from buying every word, but it's a step in the right direction, right?

As soon as I read this I just thought "I swear, if this is the Daily Mail again..."

Because, seriously, the Daily Mail is really the only tabloid left that's still doing the videogames thing on a regular basis. Even the Sun and whatnot have stopped by this point, just because it's been done so much.

OBJECTION!
*slams desk*
The Daily Mail would never state that games cause violence!

They would say it causes cancer!

And just this list in general of all the things they've claimed over the years that can cause cancer. [http://hellokinsella.posterous.com/the-daily-mail-list-of-things-that-give-you-c]
According to that list, I should have cancer for over 45 different reasons among the most notable ones being "eating Chocolate" and "being on the Internet". Clearly the Daily Mail is only read by people dumb enough to believe any stupid thing they are told.

I don't think I have much more of a response than "lol." These guys are so off that it's almost cute.

In other news, WILL GYPSIES GIVE THE QUEEN CANCER? COULD GAYS DEFRAUD YOUR PENSION? HAS CHANNEL 4 HAD SEX WITH BRITISH SOVEREIGNTY? Find out more! (That Daily Mail-o-matic is amazing.)

Well this is the Daily Mail we're talking about and the news media is nothing if not incredibly sensationalist.

You know; I like to think of The Daily Mail as like Freddy Krueger. Once you stop paying attention to them and stop being afraid of them, they're drained of all of their energy and just simply fade away...

I don't think that ever really worked on Freddy... The Daily Mail is more like the Elm Street Lynch Mob, except that they keep burning down the wrong house.

It's the Daily Mail, therefore whatever is the opposite of what it said is the truth.

I got as far as the newspaper involved and already knew it would be a grossly, deliberately misinterpreted bunch of lies. I mean, it's the Daily Mail. It's not rocket science.

And that's what they're after. Make a claim like this, let the "gaming people" rage and yell and scream, and they can just sit back and go, "See? They're so much more violent and aggressive and anti-social."

If anything causes violence it is the Daily Mail. Tabloids lie just as much if not more than politicians.
This.

Games distract you from committing crimes, but then people kill each other just to get a fresh copy of Call of Duty on open street in public.

I'm not sure where I'm supposed to stand on this.

The study compared MRI scans on 11 men from 18 to 29 years of age playing "violent" games ten hours a day for two weeks and those who didn't.
Stopped reading right there.

Um, scientist guys. Politicians. Anyone who wants to make a case about violent video games. Stop bringing up the SAME DAMN POINT AND STUDY EVERY DAMN TIME IF YOU WANT ANY OF US TO CARE ABOUT WHAT YOU SAY NOW.

*sigh*

Seriously, though? The brain scan thing is almost as old as San Andreas.

Alright, let's derail the comment section. Everybody post what you think should be the next stock photo for violent videogames. I would post one myself but I forgot how to embed images.
I don't remember how to do that either. I would go with that little 3-year old girl "swording" a guy in Skyrim with an axe, though, or a picture of Ezio hurling that fucking greataxe into anyone at all (if anything so bloody and vicious has made me grin with homicidal glee, it that greataxe)
