...Okay, Desmond's now lived the lives of two major figures in the history of the Assassin Brotherhood, was born into the conflict, and has apparently two weeks in the modern day timeline before Abstergo launches their new mind control macguffin to coincide with the end of the Mayan Calendar. Is it really too much to ask for a modern day adventure? Sure, we can no longer write off deaths with "desynchronizations," but in my mind those raised stakes would make the sneaky sneaky stab stab game even more entertaining.
Oh, you want to keep it a historical setting? Fine. Afghanistan, during the Cold War. Having to continuously nudge the balance of power between the USSR, the CIA, and the local rebels. Including one particular rebel who is bound to piss off Middle America with his inclusion (hint: they still haven't shown the body). Besides, wouldn't it be nice to know what Desmond's immediate family had to do with the ongoing Assassin/Templar war? Maybe get to see ol' grandpa Miles shanked by a youthful Vidic, if we want to continue tying up loose ends?
Side note: Why is Ubisoft asking our opinion now? If they want their release date for AC3 to coincide with the end of the Mayan calendar, they've to to have work wrapped up by early October, right?
