From most wanted to least wanted:

1: The culmination of the Pharaoh Reign in Ancient Egypt
2: The violent conflicts of the Imperial Dynasties in Medieval China
3: The overthrow of the Tsar Empire by the Communists during the Russian Revolution
4: The Warlord Battles in Feudal Japan
5: The advent of the mighty British Empire during Victorian England
6: The rise of Cesar's Empire in Ancient Rome
7: The confrontation between British colonists and native Americans during The American Revolution
8: The invasion of the Americas by the Spanish Conquistadors

Feudal Japan. It'd be like the latest Tenchu games but good.

Seriously though, it'd be freaking awesome.

Victorian England. And make the Protag a woman. That would be interesting.

...Okay, Desmond's now lived the lives of two major figures in the history of the Assassin Brotherhood, was born into the conflict, and has apparently two weeks in the modern day timeline before Abstergo launches their new mind control macguffin to coincide with the end of the Mayan Calendar. Is it really too much to ask for a modern day adventure? Sure, we can no longer write off deaths with "desynchronizations," but in my mind those raised stakes would make the sneaky sneaky stab stab game even more entertaining.

Oh, you want to keep it a historical setting? Fine. Afghanistan, during the Cold War. Having to continuously nudge the balance of power between the USSR, the CIA, and the local rebels. Including one particular rebel who is bound to piss off Middle America with his inclusion (hint: they still haven't shown the body). Besides, wouldn't it be nice to know what Desmond's immediate family had to do with the ongoing Assassin/Templar war? Maybe get to see ol' grandpa Miles shanked by a youthful Vidic, if we want to continue tying up loose ends?

Side note: Why is Ubisoft asking our opinion now? If they want their release date for AC3 to coincide with the end of the Mayan calendar, they've to to have work wrapped up by early October, right?

"The invasion of the Americas by the Spanish Conquistadors"

Sounds good to me.

I think the American Revolution setting would work as it's the only remaining option for Desmond's acestry... That doesn't seem ridiculous.
Late 19th/ Early 20th century Russian ancestors would seem a bit odd...

Ugh, sounds like they're listening to the morons who want it set in America -__- IT WON'T WORK THERE!! Japan sounds like a perfect place, I would love to see that. But China and Egypt would also be really cool to see. But in any setting where guns are common and there are no tall buildings (i.e. Colonial America) goes totally against the whole game design of the series.

as I've said above, this choice has nothing to do with Desmond, his story raps up next year. The survey is for a future (after next year) game.

Argh it's "asks," not "ask's!" What is the world coming to?!

*ahem*

It would be pretty awesome if the next AC game were set in a revolutionary period (e.g. France, Russia). Feudal Japan would be pretty cool too.

Thinking about the whole roof top jumping free roamy stuff. That would be far more fun in Victorian England or Tsar Russia. One that I did think off that would be quite cool to free roam around that wasn't listed would the the Nazi occupation of Paris.

Victorian England would be a brilliant setting, and allow the game to take a darker route with the bleak setting of late 1800's London, Jack the Ripper and his spree, gaslamp illuminated streets, hell it could even allow for a female protaganist, a prostitute that survived the Ripper.

Russian Revolution. I've been wanting that for a while now.
I wouldn't mind the American Revolution as well.
