Wow is it just me or is there someone each week that says somthing stupid enough that rob has to personally abuse them whatever happened to if you have nothing good to say dont say anything at all really each and every episode has been perfectly fine it may be slightly flawed in that the show isnt as funny as it used to be but like rob says we get this for free so we really have no right to complain he does his best and has to apeal to many different audiences so that he keeps people interested if i were him i wouldve said up yours by now and given up or made the show pay per view

on a positive note this was a good episode ive been waiting for rob to mock harry potter or atleast take the piss out of it wich he has done quite well kudos rob kudos

See, that's something that I am continually perplexed by the more I post in forums dedicated to a specific show/game/etc. People are very unreceptive of negative criticism about the subject matter. Now, admittedly, the way I posted that criticism was overly harsh and I have already apologized to Mr. Moran. In my defense I am new to the site and was unaware that the contributors actually read the comments. Most websites I visit that is not the case.

@Anti-noob. I also like the show; I wouldn't bother posting here if I didn't. I just have some things about it that I don't like. It's possible to enjoy something and not like every little thing about it.

If you're not supposed to post negative comments in the forum, then what is the forum for? Is it really just to spout platitudes about how the subject matter is absolutely perfect? Is it a meeting ground for only the most die-hard fan-boys who wear rose-tinted glasses and the first negative thought incurs a permanent ban?

And in regards to whether or not the show should be free: there are a myriad of internet shows and serials out there, and nearly all of them are free. Don't think just because we're not paying for it that they are not getting paid. Advertisers pay money based on how many times a site is visited that has their add displayed. So while viewer may not pay directly, their traffic is what generates the income from the shows. Much as I like Unforgotten Realms, I don't think it's worth paying for. At least not each episode. A DVD collection like RT does might be worth it, but that's a lot of work I'm sure, especially since I think that Mr. Moran does all the production on his own.

There are pretty much many explanations episode 28 or 29 can't remember they introduce the dragon warrior, wich also could be the ancester of schmoopy since he's the steph father of the hole bunch james etc. ...
Also the Dragon warrior is a sorcerer he might be a student/ teacher on hogwats.
And if timmy gave a nader gem to an ancester of schmoopy, elamous they are planning to hide one gem so they actually don't need to fight for it since they are keeping it seperate or however you spell it :)
_______________________________________________________________________________________________

You guys this show is free you can be critic if you don't like it just gtfo.

You know, what started as a hilariously tongue in cheek take on Role-playing has just become another lame rip off of nearly everything. I mean, the only funny thing was Douglas catching fire, and not a damn thing was original. At least they're back to the proper length again.

Oh, And I was very sad they missed the obvious joke of calling the school Hogwash.
So what started out as a parody of gaming culture is still a parody of gaming culture and that is not a proper length and I would not be expecting it as the norm.
Actually I don't see any Gaming parody in this episode. I see a literary parody that fails because one of the requirements for parody is that it actually has to be, you know, funny.

And by 'proper length' I was referring to the fact that the original episodes, back when it actually was a parody of gaming culture and laugh your ass off funny, were all about 10-15 minutes in length. Now, with recent episodes capping off at about 5-7 minutes with a minute long intro and the unnecessary and unfunny narration at the end which also goes on for a minute or two, there is barely anytime for actual plot or jokes. The episode Ratgina, for instance, had only about 3 1/2 minutes that was actually a part of the show.

The length is what it is. You do not pay for this show and it has to make a buck. The time you get is the time you get. Ratgina only had so much in it to tell and adding the next part of the story would either make it too long or I would just be adding in filler to make it longer then it needs to be. If you think the length is hurting the show well I got a news flash for you, it was either reduce the length or stop doing the show and if you think the latter was a better idea well sorry, I don't.

You got two options. Stop watching or wait. Telling me episodes are short and unfunny means nothing in the long run to me. Thats perspective and your crying about a couple recent episodes. From where I'm sitting your 1 in 100 comments telling me you didn't think something was funny. If your looking for Dungeons and Dragons Seinfeld then sorry but I have moved pass that.
I have being watching for like 15-17 weeks now if people want to continue watching this show they just have to be patient like you need to be for every show.
If you want a good episode just be patient thats my opinion if you don't like it just go watch another show.
Rob keep it up you're doing great.

I enjoy the episode, quite a lot. And for all of those who cry and whine about there being no jokes, there has to still be a storyline episode every now and then, not just random funny things schmoopy does. So stop crying about how it lacks jokes and such.

As much as I disagree with him, Krantos brings up very good points. He has every right to say what he wants about the show, and Rob has every right to defend himself. If Krantos doesn't like something about the show, he should try to give feedback, even if noone agrees with him. If he says something like that, Rob may, notice MAY, take it to heart and think of it as something to work on. There are always improvements to be made, even to a Legendary Hero. It just makes them more Legendary-er. I, for instance, miss "The following episode..." from season 1 i believe...? However, i don't expect Rob to instantly change everything about the show to accustom it to what I want, so I find alot of enjoyment in the show despite that lack of somehting I found very funny. And that's what Krantos is trying to say. He likes it, but it could be better.

To Krantos: You said that you didn't know that the creators read the comments? As far as I know, that's just Rob pretty much. He likes to see what people think, and defend himself if there is negative feedback.

I agree everyone is free to give he's opinion but not to stab someone in the back becuase you think he wont read it.;)

It's not stabbing in the Back. There are just somethings you don't say to a person. For example, say you're walking down the street with your friend and you see someone with an incredibly large nose. You might say to your friend, "Wow, that guy has a huge nose." But you wouldn't go up to the guy and say it.

Likewise, I may have been upset about the latest episode, but I wouldn't have phrased it the way I did if I had known the person who made it was going to read it.

There is only one creator btw. I do the entire show by myself every week.

Agreed, but posting it on a forum isnt really something smart instead of just keeping it for you're own and just be dissapointed and w8 for the next episode.

When is the next one?
One comes out every thursday, unless he's switching back to every other week and ten minute episodes.

I have to say, though...

I f****** hate all the harry potter jokes. Why? Because they're hopelessly overdone.

And if this is in the past (and judging from a lot of stuff, 840-1200 years into the past) why is Madame Powerful enchantress of this town here?

I'm starting to come to this site more for new UR stuff than ZP once again(along with re-visiting older UR eps). Season 3 has been a nice mix of humor and story. Thanks for the eps and the hard work, Rob. :)

My favorite line of the season still has to be the seemingly under-appreciated: "In all my years of announcing arena shit..."

im Not saying you cant have an opinion im hust saying it could at least be constructive rather than bland stabs at the show also my post was not directed just at you krantos it was directed at everyone who just points out the bad in the episode rather than saying things like "I liked this part of the episode but thought this bit was lacking (in whatever you didnt like about it)" that way you avoid arguements with rob because you`ve been constructive about the way you worded your opinion

I love this series but lately they've reverted back to nothing but talking to NPCs. Where is the action? Where is the comedic wit i have come to expect? I really hope that you can get back to the humor that drew me into the first few episodes.
