Okay, here is what is annoying to me about this game. I agree that preteens should not be having sex, but this game is premised on teaching girls to say no.

Break that down, it is essentially the theory that girls, on their own, do not understand how to say no to men. That is not the reason that girls have sex, it is because THEY WANT TO! Being against preteen sex is reasonable, but do not act like the problem is that girls are incapable of declining sex without special coaching.

sooo...rather than parents sitting their kids down and properly raising them to deal with tough situations, they're spending 400 grand (of taxpayer's money) to make a video game???

Seriously, be a parent and talk with your kids.

Anyone want to link the rate of teen sex and pregnancies in states with abstinence only sex education programs? I bet it is much, much higher than systems that teach responsible sex.

Do people even talk to girls about these things?
Not anymore apparently, and if this becomes viable it will just become a cheap excuse to avoid the issue even more. If people would grow up for a change and actually take the time to sit down with their kids and discuss these kinds of things, then teen sex would be cut down.
And Fox News is showing how much of dumbasses they are again by endorsing this crap.

We may all scoff at this waste of money, but think about it. Motion capture being used with a game involving interacting with "people" about sexual acts? Christ, if the Japanese adult gaming industry gets hold of this, then gets rights to publish on Kinect, THE ENTIRE WORLD WILL BURN.

On a more positive note, this could also be a step to getting virtual reality systems for home use. A very tiny step mind, with the end still being 100 miles away, but hey, progress at least.

...Girls will get points for saying no?

That's going to be amusing, if it takes hold.

"Hey Sarah, you wanna smoke this blunt with me?" "No, Jimmy, I'll get more points by staying clean!" "...What?" "Sorry, I'm going for the high score."

This amuses me.

Huh... well if it's actually made well, it could be good. About time we had something teaching teens not to give in to pressure instead of freely throwing out condoms and telling them to have fun. But if the game sucks, it'll do little good.
Why? Why not instead give them condoms AND educate them? Hmm? Is knowledge that bad? Also, damn, a news channel that I actually get getting cited on The Escapist (as my profile says, I'm from Central Florida). It's weird seeing a news channel that I've seen (sure, not for long, as it's Faux "News") being on here. See if you can find something from a better source. I can't seem to find anything on the others, just lots of murder and politics.
Oh, I never said they shouldn't be educated. They definitely should be. I only objected to the mentality that we should just hand out condoms and tell them to have a good time. It's hardly a way to teach responsible use of their newfound knowledge.
