Then why did it not drop bellow 20 quid (on steam atleast). The game was way to expensive, why i didn't buy it, played it on a mates account. It's a blindingly good game...but it wasn't worth the price..hopefully this one will be...but it's a bit soon and must be so annoying for al those who did buy it.Daye.04 said:Nope - that's the cake [sup]I'm so sorry[/sup]LordOmnit said:Or it's just a lie.
That seems very plausible, yes. After all, L4D seemed a bit unfinished. But when you listen to the commentary, it sounds like they had a ocean of effort put in itcobrausn said:I imagine Left 4 Dead was an experiment... that succeeded. Wildly.
Now they are going to go full force with it. Hopefully they will put all of that talent they have to good use.
Man, I wish I was finished with this CS degree so I could apply there already...
^ this, and this also tells me that its going to suck OR its going to get pushed back at a minimum of 2 times.ROBO_LEADER said:You HAVE to be kidding me. THIS SOON?
I think they bought the title to the game. They have hundreds of millions of dollars and they will use itVanguard1219 said:I'm sorry, but Microsoft announced Left 4 Dead 2? After the first one has only been out for less than a year? Why the bloody hell would Microsoft have any kind of authority to speak on the behalf of anything that Valve, a privately owned developer, is doing?
None of this adds up at all. Why didn't Valve announce it? Moreover, why isn't Valve simply just updating the first one? Releasing a new game this soon just doesn't fit into their pattern of behavior at all.
Chadling said:This is an abominable decision. Didn't Valve just release the tools for map making for L4D? That game isn't even close to dying; it's still approaching its prime!
Oh, and if it's going to be in "Nawlins", I think the political **** is about to hit the fan when people realize that means that at least 65% of the zombies need to be Black.
hmmm... I hadn't thought of that. It's a possibility, certainly... does this mean we'll have to wait til 7 years after ep2 again?spuddyt said:I'm beginning to suspect they'll release ep 3 on a new game engine.... like source 2 or whateverDoug said:Nice news, but...
Valve? Where is Half life 2, episode 3? Come on, at least give us a hint that you are working on it somewhere!

Why? It'll have been in development for some time, it probably uses the same engine so they don't have to start from scratch. If you think it's too soon then don't buy it, I'll be enjoying me some chainsaw/fire axe goodness.Jonny49 said:Waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy to soon.
Valve insulted the PS3. Hence, Indigo, PS3 fanboy of the nth degree, hates Valve and all their games with a burning passion that would set fire to the entire planet were it unleashed at once.Daye.04 said:Lovely ..Indigo_Dingo said:Dude, your arms must be tiny

Yeah, I know .. I probably shouldn't even bothered responding - my bad.Doug said:(..)
i.e. Indigo is whining, ignore him
Not sure .. But if I had to guess, I'd guess that it was because it was populare/good enough to not do so. And since Valve (no matter how much everybody would like to think of themselves as Valve's friends rather than customers) want to make money, they took advantage of that. Wouldn't you?freakaknight said:Then why did it not drop bellow 20 quid (on steam atleast)(...)
But in the business world, dropping prices slightly will encourage more people to buy, like the half price weekends steam has, whether it be for a weekend or overall. It's what discouraged people like me and my brother to buy it. Basically i think it should have dropped to at least 15 or even 12 considering. Not sure .. Yeah same here. It would emphasise the comical effect. Also, I can't help but feel that Valve were playing Dead Rising in the conference room.cainx10a said:Aww, I wish the last scene with the frying pan had a more ... you know ....
