I believe this may be why my MSN today spammed me with saying I have a virus and telling me to download a random file. Which after scanning and isolating I found have a hell of a lot of crap in it... I did try tracing it ended up with nothing though...

I never get why hackers do this. Well I'm off to change my passwords even though I don't use MSN, etc. You can never be too careful.

*claps* Way to go Microsoft. Good to see they still treat their customers as great as they always have in the past.

Good thing I only use my hotmail from MSN, and use 2 seperate GMail accounts (one for signing up accounts on websites and notification spam and the other for actual emailing).
You know that it's through a phishing scam that these account details got out right? It's not Microsofts fault people fall for phishing scams...

OT:This news isn't really surprising. With phishing scams popping up all the time and being pretty damn successful at getting people to hand over vital account info it was only a matter of time until accounts were leaked over the web.

Maybe I'm just stupid or something, but I can't figure out how to change my password.

It's been forever since I've had to change it...

Heh. I don't think I should worry too much, even though my school email uses Live. No one shall ever know my passwords anyway...

Meh, don't care. Never fallen to any scams yet so I doubt I'm one of the lucky few.

I'm wondering, where did this breach take place? On Microsoft's server or something? This is important to know.
That's what you think. MuuuHHAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

Damn. Now I'm going to have to remember a new password. ARGGHHH!

I know you should change passwords every 10 seconds or such and leave clues hidden in the paintings of Leonardo De Vinci, but I never do.

Well, i have reinforced my password now, so i should be safe.

Apparently one of my friends has no way of changing it for a while though. And his MSN begins with an A as well... that isn't good.

Hackers truly have no lives and no friends - except maybe virtual friends. I dont get why they feel the need to make viruses or hack databases...must be some psychological problem they have.

I better change my password soon...

Ditto.

I've actually have changed all my passwords now.
Can't be too careful sometimes.
Do you have a universal password? One for every account?

I have several for different ones so I really don't think I need to worry.
