Look, people complaining about Pokemon Black and White. Please, do us all a favor.

Shut up. Stop decrying about how Pokemon has sucked since Red and Blue, stop obsessively rushing around forums speculating about these games to tell us how much they suck, and stop telling us how those of us looking forward to this game are stupid. Just shut up, nobody cares.

You're entitled to your opinions. I know that not everybody likes fifth gen. And, well, I'm sure most of us who still enjoy Pokemon just don't care. And frankly, I'd enjoy Pokemon discussions more if I didn't have to rake through people BAWing like some kind of Final Fantasy fanboy upset at the fact that Square-Enix DARED to make a game that wasn't FFVII.
Especially on a forum like this, it's most prevalent. It sucks knowing that I was at that stage too. I grew out of Pokemon by the time Crystal was out and disliked Pokemon like it was required of me for entering high school. Needless to say, I stopped being a douche when Platinum came out and started to appreciate how technically better the games have become.

Overall, I've been really excited and happy about what I've seen of B&W, though I am a bit finicky about the design of the starter's evolutions. They're nice standalones, but I had pictured Pokabu to stay quadrupedal and for Miju to stay bipedal. However, I'm on the fakemon bandwagon at this point in time. I can wait 11 days or so for the release to see whether or not Serebii's "credible source" is indeed credible. He has posted a lot of fake shit before, and there are still archives around of things that he was just flat out wrong about.

Time will tell.

Man you guys are gullable
Before we begin, please refer to this charecter sheet.
http://pokebeach.com/news/0610/black-white-character-sheet.jpg
please compare the dragon and the bat to their revealed forms. You'll see that every detail down to the shading is perfectly insynch.
http://serebii.net/blackwhite/pokemon.shtml

Here's another one.

Also, these gifs are coming to you from Suave Squirtal from the Serebii forms.

Bulbapedia stepped in during a discussion on /vp/ and made its official stance more clear

http://bulbanews.bulbagarden.net/wiki/2ch,_others_leak_heap_of_Black_and_White_info
See the big unconfirmed and rumour things on there? Bulbagarden's staff are mixed in opinion on this one at the moment. We're reporting on it simply because a number of sites have been running it as confirmed, but I'm personally leaning towards false right now.

Here's the low-down on why this is all up in the air.
1. When our staff were discussing this with the staff of other sites, they said they got this info from an inside source. If they got it from someone separate to Melkor of PokExperto, then the question is who, and how reliable they are as a source. They're refusing to reveal exactly who these sources are.

2. Serebii mentioned to RexRacer (the EiC of Bulbanews) that he had a number of the in-game sprites himself, however that Melkor had all the sprites. We've yet to see the sprites ourselves, so we can't confirm or deny if these are legit based on the info we have.

3. Melkor did get a big scoop with the previous generation in getting a full list of the new Pokémon names well before release (apparently from the same source Serebii had, they had a huge fight on the issue back then as I remember), which gives this a bit more credibility than it might have had otherwise.

4. The instant that these got out, multiple people were already claiming that they were fake and that they had been the ones to fake them, including different pictures of inspirations, etc.
Also, some more gifs

Now excuse me while I tear apart your sources
The pokemon fansite from Spain is the main cause of all this. He allegedly has "insider information" and once claimed to have the full game via his twitter. He posted this image:

1. The HP on the final forum of pokabu is lower than that of pokabu.
2. The names are wrong and belong to already existing pokemon
3. This screen shot belongs to a previously linked screen shot.
4. After the obvious fake was pointed out, this was deleted off of his twitter. However you can still see his website in the background.

There are other issues with his site and his alleged source, and I question as to why he won't show his sprites in private to Bulbapedia. His "confirmed" typings also differentiate between the ones leaked by 2chan that came with the images. Basically I'm calling this guy a liar.

What about Serebii, the "source who is never wrong." Hahahaa, you guys don't know him. Serebii posted that Arceus wasn't real. He then would delete any post to anyone who brough him up on the site when signs started to point towards him being true. Serebii was also NOT ONLY WRONG about Shaymin's alternative form BUT CLAIMED TO HAVE AN INSIDE SOURCE. This is not the only time Serebii has faked having an "inside source." He was triced by someone into thinking that Shellos was a prevo too Lapras by an "inside source"
http://www.encyclopediadramatica.com/Shaymin

Serebii is a sociopath who strives to have the best pokemon fan site whatever the cost.
So, with our only two sources lacking in serious validity, and the art itself having HUGE problems, both from a manipulation point, as well as having HUGE basic artistic mistakes, I believe we can safely call these fake. Good day gentlemen.
thank goodness they are fake although I did like the fire pokemon s second stage form

Another fire/fighting... Ugh -.- not going fire again...

Now water blew me away, if these are in fact real (Won't believe it until other sources come out.) than i'm going water, grass alright but I expected a grass dragon with dragon wings and junk, like grass/dragon or grass/flying type. But its still cool, just getting tired of fire/fighting.

I have always chosen Water types except for when I had Pokemon Red (chose Charmander). Never chosen Grass, not sure why. Anyways, hopefully will get a DS before this is released, and I shall evolve my otter!

I like where the Grass and Water starters go. Not so much the Fire starter.

Then again, I'm hoping that this time the non-fire starters will get some more love; I haven't bee particularly impressed with the grass starter since Venusaur, and I cannot think of a time where I ever took the water starter except to trade out.

Wow.
these look Awesome!

Though i cant help but think that the Artists were playing Spectrobes while designing them.
And that's not really a bad thing.

Spectrobes gave me a Cactus Dragon.
CACTUS.
DRAGON.
And it is one of the coolest things i have ever seen.
The water type reminds me of
Just not quite as cool.
I quite like spectrobes I can't think of a cactus dragon though I have only played the first two. one thing I like about spectrobes is that each game is a clear improvement (the one for the wii looks like a improvement)
I see where you get the thought from especially with the fire one. which starter are you getting I'm gone get the pig starter (not calling it the fire starter) so i can have a demonic (as well as Greek) pig called Mr.Bacon.
The Cactus Dragon is called Saboquill, its freaking powerful and, to me at least, looks awesome.
He is in the Wii Spectrobes and yes, its a HUGE improvement.
Its like a mix of Monster Hunter and Phantasy Star.
I love they way Spectrobes did something a little different with the Pet Battle Genra and the Spectrobs designs are all pretty cool and unique.
And ill be going with the Grass starter.
I just like the way it looks.

This improved my opinion of these starters (Except the fire one, who looks stupid regardless), but I still think the game will stink. The last good pokemon game IMO was Emerald. The last REALLY good pokemon game was Crystal. I think the series has had its day and is now killing time between now and when Nintendo finally stops caring about it.

The grass one actually looks intruiging, the water starter looks freaking ridiculous and shows no resemblance to it's first form in any way, and if THAT's the best firestarter you can come up with, please go back to kindergarten...

Just my humble opinion, but hey, I'll probably buy the game, just like a junky will always buy his crack...

Also, I only just noticed the Prodigy pun. 'Twas unintended.

when will these creators just sit down for five minutes take a good long look into each others eyes and just unamamously agree to just let the pokemon series die with whatever dignity it still has left rather than scrape it out over another few bad remakes.
In the real world Timmy, money has the biggest influence on everything!

And we all know that as long the pkmn series can sell then they will always exist.
But I'm going to sell my soul and go for the water starter :3

I fear for the universe.

Smugleaf's evolution is even more smug. Warning! Critical smug mass! Universe to collapse in particularly self satisfied black hole!

Gahh...these are terrible, especially the pig, they've already based pokemon on fat guys e.g. Makuhita and Snorlax.
How does the otter change from a slightly bigger otter into some sea unicorn?

If they make another Fire/Fighting starter, I'm going to use Mega Kick on Gamefreak's Pokéballs.

Basically, by evolving, it looks like the otter pokemon would be losing out on some moves, something that's never happened in previous pokemon games.
That has happened in EVERY previous Pokémon game.

There are so many many examples I can use, but I'll just pick the first one I thought of, which also happens to be a starter.

http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-dp/255.shtml
http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-dp/256.shtml

Torchic can learn Flamethrower at level 43. However, evolve it into Combusken and it can no longer learn Flamethrower by leveling up. Combusken also learns moves that Torchic can't.

Again, this happens all the time. You can find plenty of examples in each generation if you look.
yeah, that's what I thought you meant. That wasn't what I was trying to say. Yes Torchic can learn flamethrower on it's own and Blaziken can't, but it can be taught flamethrower through a TM. And about the Combusken thing, I'm talking about pre-evolved forms knowing moves that the next evolution couldn't possibly learn.

Basically what I was trying to say is, imagine if Dragonite evolved into Dragonair. Dragonite can learn Ice Punch while Dragonair can't for obvious reasons. If a Dragonite knowing Ice Punch evolved into Dragonair, I can't see how it would still be able to know Ice Punch.
Um, Dragonair evolves into Dragonite, not the other way round.
OT: Wow, the water one looks cool. I thought I was gonna get grass, but now I don't know.
Fire one looks really bad though.

Seriously, that's the fire evolution? Come on! I don't care if people hated the fire/fighting combo, that pokemon was friggin' cool. Isn't the water pokemon supposed to be the ugly one? What happened. What, happened.

Did you not see how I said "Imagine". It was an example. Didn't think I'd have to spell it out.

When I get my own Smugleaf, I may have to name him something really smug and arrogant. Like "Reginald" or something to that effect.

Too bad that the grass type evolves in Grass/Dragon, it is never going to see competitive play, 4x weakness against Ice is what destroys most dragon types. Seeing as the Grass one is the only good looking evo though, I'll still use him for the actual game but he won't be making my competitive team.
