Anyway, something like this doesn't really appeal to me. It's neat for sure, and it's a great buy if you're in to that sort of thing but it's just not for me. I'd rather just buy a game and get the game for the game.
Maybe if they ever give me something I want. Demigod was close, but not quite there.
I suspect these night vision goggles are not up to military standards and probably give inferior results to the military hardware. Add to that, maybe the production costs have dropped since then? More efficient designs, etc.obisean said:Can't comment on their cost in specific. But I know from my Navy days that good night vision goggles runs a couple grand and the pair I used crossing the Panama Canal were only single mode.
No. As soon as you buy Mercenaries 3 you get targeting beacon to call in carpet bombing, anywhere and anytime.Cheesebob said:So, what?Kollega said:Night vision. That's just ludicrous. because it's awesome? Although I'm not getting them since their probably out of my price range.ActualOvaltine said:Dont judge what I do with the goggles!!!..... Uh...DrunkWithPower said:So, let me get this straight, they combined a video game and a spying tool all in one box? PERFECT FOR THE LIFELESS NERD!!!! Nothing better than playing MW2 in the evening, prowling around the neighbor lady's garden with high hopes of seeing a boob, then back for more MW2. Being a little facetious about the goggles, I like the idea, let the sheeps buy the "prestige edition" and the DLC will be cheap or free.
And on topic.... my biggest question is......................................................... Why?
Some people tie on thin steel plates on the sides and front, and get the actual sticky out bits at the front all armoured as well, if you do that, then its fineratix2 said:one of either 3 things is going to happen: either its going to be rediclously expensive, activision is going to take a major loss on the package or the nvgs will either NOT be actual workign nvg's or if they are they will be very cheaply made.
i just bought a pair of high quality gen 1 nvg's a few months ago for hunting and they cost me over $800. a pair of gen 2 or gen 3 nvg's cost in the thousands, even for many of the lower quality ones. as i said, if they are real its either gonna be hella expensive or activision is going to take huge losses.
you really dont want to do that. if someone hits them, even with a paintball your looking at a serious possibility of damage, and at the very least it would be a ***** to clean them up (youd have to be VERY careful).Xbowhyena said:Dang I could use those goggles in paintball...
