I find the Night Vision googles pointless. Cool but pointless. We're gamers for crying out loud. I don't have a 360 so I can careless. But seriously I would just pay for the game can spend $50 on it and not waste possibly $500 just for some night vision goggles.

That's insane! I'd seriosuly consider buying that, though I'm hardly rich so I'd have to see how much the inclusion of a pair of fully functional night vision goggles would stump the price up.

In the end though, I'll probably end up just picking up the Collectors, sorry, Hardened edition. That's what they're calling it right?

I'll have to get that.
Why?
Because I've wanted night vision goggles for years. I know a guy that had a camera like that and it was awesome.

I might actually get that... I'm not big on the whole 'collectors edition' thing, but I always wanted night vision goggles... Would make it a lot easier then using a flashlight when camping... Yeah I know it isn't traditional camping, but meh... Token would be kinda useless though... already have CoD1...

Oh, umm... what was in the Fallout 3 Survival Kit? Never actually heard of that...
You can get a functional pair of NVGs at Target and Wal-Mart now. They don't look like military issue, and they are marketed towards kids, but they work (and they work better than GEN 1 Russian NVGs I hear). Those will run you only about $49.99 while this will no doubt cost over $100. Yeah, you get a game, but if you are only in it for the goggles, you can get them FAR cheaper.

This is so stupid and yet so freaking cool at the same time.

I would love to have NV-goggles, but since i odn't actually have anything to use them for, i don't think i'll ever buy them. They're quite expensive if they have to be any good as far as i know.

I'm awfully tempted by this completely ridiculous yet awesome offer. I've recently gotten into the whole "crap you get with special editions thing" because I want my room to have a little more...personality. But then again, it's not like I would put a pair of nightvision goggles proudly on my shelves. I rather have figurines and all that jazz. Nah I won't get this. Probably be EXTREMELY expensive as well. I mean, a working pair of nightvision goggles? Damn. I wished I would've bought Fallout 3's Survival Edition though. I want a damned bobblehead!

Well, I'm going to get the game too eventually... but if I can get goggles for $50, and the game for $50... unless what I heard it right and those bastards are going to make us pay $60 for the PC version, it is still cheaper then $150... Besides the game/NVG's, the rest seems like useless junk to me...

$150? Seriously? How is it possible that the goggles even work?

I'm finding it hard to believe. I atleast hope they're decent quality.

These goggles are NOT true night vision goggles. They use Infrared LED's witch are invisible the the human eye, and use a camera to pick them up the LED light and project it on a small screen inside the goggles. this means it will have the effective range of a flashlight. And there not very practical for walking around. Imagine using a set of binoculars to go for a run. These goggles probably cost around $60 American for a pair on top of the over priced collectors addition.

So he had the first ever box off the line... AND HE OPENED IT!!
Think how mcuh someone would pay for that in a few years time, the first ever prestiage edition, unopened.
People are paying upto £1000 for old classics at the moment.

$149? So, around £90? I actually have that much. I'm sad enough to say I'm going to buy this.

It came with the Pip-Boy 3000 watch and a whole lot of other trinkets.
Ehh... I'd pass on that... I like my Swiss Army watch... :D
It was more a trinket really. Far too big to actually wear at a social event.

YAY, more crap that will end up gathering dust in a box...

yes... i will buy that... i just know i will...

also, making functional NVG is not that hard, look in youtube, there are ways to make them, for a relatively cheap price (you just need LED´s of some kind, dont remember, and a camera)

Not much because you couldn't prove it was the first ever box, that and the game will sell like crazy so nobody would buy the game as a classic...
