Finally the zynga juggernaut was destroyed... and so gaming was saved all around the world from browser games....the fight was long and hard.. good job men....

But it is a fact that Zynga's fanbase is growing a lot faster than Valve's or Bioware's. Their kind of games could end up being the new The Sims just.. A lot bigger, and free.

I could have sworn I picked for Valve during the whole line up thing but all I got was the badge for voting all the way through...

Anyways, congrats to Valve and Bioware for making it to the finale showdown!

I did check and I think I did pick Valve, my bracket was never updated after the first round for some reason...

It was really close in the end though, but I prefer Valve over BioWare for now since I've got a PS3 and a super-broken computer so I can't play Mass Effect.

bioware should have won. valve only released one game last year and bioware released two great games.

but those two were the same in story. so they both released ONE game.

no, they released TWO games with different gameplay. in which instances were Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age: Origins the exact same? be specific, because i will be checking

You seem to be missing one major factor. This is not "best developer of the last year", this is taking into account all of the developer's past games and achievements. If it were just for the last year, then sure; Bioware would take the cake. But what Bioware has done before falls short compared to what Valve accomplished in making Half-Life which changed the FPS genre, Half-Life 2 which changed the way story could be told in an FPS, Steam which completely shook up the way games could be distributed and sold, the Source Engine which was developed all in-house and easy to mod with the Source SDK released and Left 4 Dead which has freaking zombies in it.

I voted for Bioware but still Valve is my 2nd most loved developer so yeah I am pleased.
