Jaques began to reply to the woman, but was distracted by the shout of another man and turned. Seeing the trooper, he wasn't sure what to make of him. It looked vaguely like a medieval knight, but in much more elaborate armour, and it carried a weapon vaguely similar to the long barreled musket that hung in a holster on Couleuvrine's saddle. He raised a hand uncertainly and tipped his hat to the newcomer.
"Bonjour, Monsieur... Chevalier? You... are a knight, no?" Once again, his mind strayed to the wheellock pistol on his bandolier. The man spoke even as the thought entered his head.
"Ah, Scorch. I am Capitan Jaques Leveque, and no, I have no idea where we are."
