>Greg:Study the faint markings

You spend several long minutes studying the hieroglyphs, trying to discern their possible meanings. You have a good idea what the volcano, which leaves you a little worried about the safety of your HOUSE,and tadpole might mean and maybe the Grist but as for the hammer, you have no clue. And what about the circle covered by clouds, with the Spirograph at the center?Could that be Skaia perhaps? You can not be sure. And even if you spent hours here you doubt you would have any better answers.

You give another quick look at the markings then look away.Time is short and you need to focus on other things.

You decide to explore this GLASS PYRAMID some. After all,how many GLASS PYRAMIDS have you seen before?Of course a small part of you is wondering how safe and architecturally sound it is to use glass as a building material for a pyramid, but you decide to just take the plunge anyway.

You pass the well placed geysers of flame, which you think add a nice touch to the entrance, and down the dimly lit passageway.

>Xavier: Reinstate plans
Okay, you needed to get rid of some rage. Now the plans are back.

>Xavier: Think
Um...Think think think think-

OH SNAP, THE BOOTS, OH MY GOD THE BOOTS!

You simply throw the EXPLODING BOOTS OF EXPLODING at the Hydra, no deliver puns.

>Rich: Fly towards thin line on horizon.

You do so.

In the future, you think you will keep your distance from GS.

>Dirk: After a few minutes of continuous flight, you find yourself in the middle of the Veil, the belt of meteors orbiting Skaia. A natural barrier between Derse and the other Lands of the Medium, it strikes you as a rather desolate location, with naught but barren rocks as far as you can see.

...And buildings apparently. Lots and lots of buildings. Who the hell builds stuff on a meteor? How does that make ANY sense? It just... whatever.

Anyway, you're able to pass through the Veil without too much difficulty. You're spotted by a few ships, some gold, some purple, but none try to stop you.

Upon emerging from the meteor belt, you come across a fairly impressive sight. Before you lies a massive glowing Spirograph, shrouded in a sky-blue light, covered by enigmatic clouds. It hurts your eyes to look at it too long, but it's just... beautiful, awe-inspiring, amazing. Orbiting around the Spirograph, you can make out the shapes of six other worlds, a couple of which you recognize as the Land of Ruins and Legends and the Land of Castles and Frogs. You can also spot a large cloud of dust and rocks floating in the same orbit, with green bolts of energy flashing across it every so often.

Of more interest, however, is the golden sphere floating just above the Spirograph, a small moon chained to its surface. Yeah, that's probably Prospit.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

>Greg: Moving down the passageway, you find that the path soon branches off into dozens of catacombs and tunnels, spreading into all directions, all faintly lit by some odd glow. From what you can tell, the tunnels go on for quite some ways; there's no end in sight. You could spend hours searching through all of these...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

>Xavier: Hmm... Yeah, that'll work!

Due to a massive burst of PLOT CONVINCE, your remaining E.B.O.E. shrouds the regenerating necks in its blast, setting the HYDRA ablaze. Instead of heads growing back, the raw flesh quickly scabs over due to its massive burns.

Judging by the fact that the monster just burst into a GRIST WINDFALL, you're going to say that that killed the beast.

Level up!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

>Rich: As you and Quickdraw PCHOOOOOOOO towards the horizon, the mysterious black line grows larger and larger. Soon, you're able to tell that it's not a line at all. In fact, it's a massive bank of storm clouds, stretching as far as the eye can see. As you get nearer, you are able to hear the boom of thunder, and spy bright flashes of lighting bursting from the clouds.

And, unless your eyes are deceiving you, it's slowly moving closer and closer towards you.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

>Chas: In the words of the great poets: "I hear voices in my head, they counsel me, they understand, they talk to me."

Hey, come on now, there's no need for anyone to get hurt, right buddy? Come on, let's just all get along, huh? Please?

===>Chas: Spread some LOVE and PEACE!

>Greg:Be slightly deterred

While part of you would really love to explore this place, the rational part of your mind is telling you that you don't have hours of free time to spend searching this labyrinth. And you don't really have any Spacy power that could cut that done by alot. You will just have to come back at a later. And you will!

You head back out the way you came in and, after a moment of looking like a Hero and sticking your finger in the air, because thats what you see Knights do sometimes in the illustrations, you decide to head north-west this time, all the while using the power of your awesome shoes to make the journey quicker.

Back to ADVENTURE!

>Rich: Return to town-ish area, inquire as to nature of storm clouds.

You're reasonably certain these birds exist almost exclusively for the purpose of explaining these storm clouds to prospective heroes; it seems the logical thing to do.

>Dirk: Descend to Prospit

You lower yourself down into the golden city. My goodness there is a lot of bright yellow loveliness here. You give little waves to the happy denizens walking through the streets. TOO happy, if they asked you. But they didn't, so you keep silent.

You struggle long and hard to find the palace hidden amongst the hustle and bustle of oh wait no it's probably that big glowy palace-looking place you blue-haired idiot.

>Future Dirk: Descend to Friend

You leap down from your place of rest next to Xavier, silently looking over his work. Not bad PLOT CONVENIENCE there, not bad at all...

You decide you'll wait until he acknowledges your presence before you speak to him. Sometimes you're just weird like that.

>Chas: Thank you for not killing everyone! That's sure to make things go over better :)

...Did you just hear a smiley face? Is that even something you can do? I mean... seriously? What?

Anyway, observation time! Although it seems that your rather large and ostentatious LASER BLAST has sent the mass of NPCs into quite the tizzy, none of them have yet reacted violently. A few of the large Underlings eye you warily, but do no more.

Well, you've currently got the attention of every living thing in sight. What do you do?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

>Greg: To the NORTHWEST it is!

You travel for about half an hour without encountering anything (This Land is actually pretty desolate. Kind of depressing). However, as you climb to the top of a small hill, you spot a large amount of bright lights in the distance.

Upon closer inspection, said lights are coming from a large collection of glass buildings, forming some kind of METROPOLIS. You can see hundreds of little dots, presumably this Land's Consorts, scurrying about, doing who knows what.

Yeah, odds are a place like that would have a whole lot of handy buildings, like SHOPS, CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS, or a giant SCULPTURE, some interesting looking NPCS who probably have some PLOT-RELEVANT INFORMATION or QUESTS or other ilk, and maybe even a secret REBEL HIDEOUT.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

>Rich:
Do you want to do an individual Consortlog, or just address the general populace?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

>Dirk: Yeah, the big golden palace thing really isn't all that hard to spot. In fact, it's kind of impossible to miss, what with the giant towers and all that.

Presumably, you decide to land in front of the palace doors, so that you may gain entrance to the building. As you touch down in front of the large gateway, a pair of uniformed guards lower their spears towards you, seemingly confused by your strangely colored garb. One of them begins to ask you what your business is, when the other spots the REGISWORD Jack gave you. He sounds an alarm, and you quickly find yourself surrounded by a small troop of guards.

Although they all have their spears/swords/whatever weapon leveled at you, none of them move to attack. One speaks up, and states that their captain is coming, and that he'd like to have a word with you.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

>Xavier: Who the hell is this doucebag?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah, sorry for the rather infrequent updates as of late. Life's been... interesting lately. Yeah, let's go with interesting.

But, I'm finally back at school, life's decided to calm the fuck down, and my hair's not on fire anymore! So, that's good. I'll try and keep updates more frequent from here on out.

>Dirk: Kill them. Every last one of them.

WHAT? No! That's fucking INSANE. You'll probably just maim them, like a sensible person.

You ask them how long it will take for their captain to arrive. As much as you enjoy being held captive you were really hoping you wouldn't get held up too long. You know, time hero stuff to do.

>Greg:Explore the large collection of glass buildings

You give the matter of whether to explore the METROPOLIS some thoughts, chin stroking may or may not be involved. Its what Knights do...ok maybe not..

Once you have made up your mind, you smile and, with a bit of Spacy stuff, make your way into the METROPOLIS,though you do take care not to make a scene. That would hardly be Hero or Knight-like.

You walk around for a bit before finding what looks like a shop. You decide to browse it's wares.

>Chas: You can see parts of the crowd parting around a large OGRE, a ragged FEDORA awkwardly perched on his head. He's moving towards you, but his progress is somewhat impeded by the sheer number of beings around him.

Go to him Chas. It's time.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

>Dirk: Luckily, you don't have to wait that long. A few seconds later, a tall Prospitian stumbles out of the building, attempting to pull on a boot as he hops along. He proceeds to faceplant in front of you, much to the annoyance of the guards surrounding you.

The VALIANT SENTINEL seems uninjured, however, and quickly pops back to his feet, a self-deprecating smile upon his face, apologizing for his display. He nonchalantly asks his men to lower their weapons, an order they uneasily follow.

As VS approaches you, you're able to get a good look at him. Clad in a long crimson duster, probably made out of canvas, his hands are covered by a pair of black gloves, his feet encased in worn, sturdy boots. Slung around his waist is a leather holster, holding what seems to be an over-sized revolver.

Extending an arm towards you, VS gives you another wide smile. "Hey, nice to meet you! Welcome to Prospit; is there anything you need help with?"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

>Greg: While there are countless amounts of various odds and ends strewn about the large SHOP, your attention is captured by a certain INVENTORY LIST tucked away in the corner.

OCTET OF BLADES. SPACE AND TIME. 10 BOONBUCKS.
BLAZING CADENCE. SPACE AND LIGHT. 10 BOONBUCKS.
CANTATA OF CREATION. SPACE AND LIFE. 10 BOONBUCKS.
DISSONANCE SCOURGE. SPACE AND MIND. 10 BOONBUCKS.
LIBRETTO OF THE END. SPACE AND HOPE. 10 BOONBUCKS.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

>Rich: As you point out the slowly advancing storm front, the PARROTS inside the BIRDHOUSE burst into a panicked frenzy, flying about and squawking loudly. Seems that they were unaware of the clouds until you pointed them out.

Strangely, after a few minutes the chaos calms down. The Consorts land, look slightly confused, and then return to their everyday business.

However, you are approached by a wizened old PARROT, a small cane clutched in his right wing. He shoots you a reproachful glare, and admonishes you for causing a panic. He then, however, mentions that the clouds are probably the work of the Denizen; no doubt they serve some nefarious purpose.

Most likely not. This is the last time I'll be available today for some time, I think. Not quite sure when I'll be free.

>Future Dirk: Be annoyed

"Bro, are you going to just leave your buddy standing here? So not cool, man."

>Dirk: Respond

"Yeah, hi. My name's Dirk. I just flew here from Derse, as you can probably tell by the sword. And I guess I kind of need to... talk... with your queen...

Yeah, you just kind of realized how awful that sounded. You're starting to wonder if dream-you was dropped on his head when he was young.

"Er, I mean, like, I can ditch the sword, uh, if I need to. I mean, I have enough time powers that I probably don't even need the thing! Wait, FUCK, that sounded even worse."

You decide to wait and see what the VALIANT SENTINEL says, because you're sure as hell not going to be able to defuse this situation by your incompetent-assed self.
