Australia has a bunch of Dromedary Camels, one hump not two, running around in the desert.

Australians aren't renowned for being gracious losers.

And, yes, Dingos ate someone's baby...

I know that it is home to some of the world's most aggressive, dangerous spiders and insects. Ants that have the ability to *jump* (so called bulldog ants), Spiders with fangs seemingly designed specifically for people's toes when they go into shoes... And that doesn't even scratch the surface ;p

I have heard it is very similar to Canadian culture. Multicultural and a bit on the socialist side of democracy. Thats awesome. I also have heard the taxation is included in cost when purchasing. Canada really should adopt this policy.

I know a bit here and there, but I would like to know more.
Wait... Are you telling me Canada has a sales tax, but shops don't list it as part of the price of anything you buy?

Wow that's annoying.

Just about every country has sales tax, but it's usually accounted for in the shelf price. If you truly must know how much tax you paid, it's often listed on the receipt.

But, since you have to pay it regardless, not listing it would be akin to misleading advertising.
It's all part of our national delusion that the GST or the HST in some provinces (the name of our sales tax) is temporary and will eventually just go away.

Besides you ought to be able to figure out 12% in your head, cuz math is FUNdamental! :p

OT: I know that Australia is really big, but still has nowhere near as much unused space as Canada.

Fact: technically the word 'Aborigines' refers to any native population of people. The Native Americans, therefore, are aboriginals. The legal term used to refer to original inhabitants of Australia is 'Indigenous Australians'. However most Australians still refer to them as 'Aboriginals'.

Ummm... I really don't think many people in Australia are Homophobic, like half the clubs in the city cater exclusively to gays anyways lol.

The two worst social groups are (red necks) Bogans, who usually are the main problem in terms of the rascist identity that Australia has. Their main terget for rascist remarks are immigrants, and I've defended a few immigrants from time to time and bogans will tell you that "if you don't like our country then leave", despite that not being the actual argument - any time you hear this it's usually from a bogan.

The second group being heavy drug users, unfortunately this group does have a higher concentration of Aboriginals due to their genetic disposition towards addiction. They can be quite agressive, however the reality is that the problem has been cemented in the past and a lot of indigenous families will never get over their suffering. Then again some of the heavy drug users are just jerks.

I should note on the positive side that there are a lot of aboriginals who have been able to overcome their tragic history and have become icons for newer generations. Jessica Mauboy, Ernie Dingo, Kathy Freeman etc.

I think you mean either a Blue Ringed Octopus, which are very deadly,
or a Blue Bottle (a type of jellyfish with like projectile stinging tendrils) not deadly, a little painful but not much.

I remember going to the aquarium and getting bitten by a baby crocodile in the touchpool, don't worry, unless their big enough to roll over and break your neck or tear a limb off, their not too harmful, just a few stitches.

Well Adelaide got voted the best city to live in in the country. I have no idea how that happened because it is very boring down here. Also, Fremantle will win the Grand Final this year!
